An Empirical Analysis Of Education Level And Rural Residents Happiness In China

Using the datasets from CGSS2013,this paper analyzed the relationship between education and happiness of Chinas rural residents.Findings as follow:(1)Education has significantly positive effect on happiness,and residents with higher education have higher level of happiness;(2)Factors such as income,health and house can affect residents happiness positively and are the important channels that education influences happiness;(3)Educations influence on happiness increased during the period,especially house and health can explain 12.9%and 15%of the total variance of urban residents happiness;(4)The mechanisms that education affects happiness can be different from past research;the channel of house and health can explain stable part of the total effect of education on happiness;(5)Demographic variables like gender,age,fair and marriage have significant effect on rural residents happiness.
