In recent years,Relevant ministries have issued relevant policy documents,to guide the transformation of the development of ordinary undergraduate colleges and universities.However,in the process of transformation,the problem of private colleges and universities is facing the problem of the uneven quality of teachers,which can not be well coordinated with the transformation and development of private colleges and universities.Therefore,it is necessary to summarize the problems of the development of private colleges and universities and the problems of teachers' team construction.It is necessary to draw lessons from successful cases in Europe and the United States University and other private college in China.This paper will conduct a empirical investigation on the key issues such as the competency of teachers in private colleges and universities in Guangdong Province through the competency model study.Through the behavioral event interview method,to build a good / qualified private college teachers of the competence of the initial model.Using the questionnaire survey method to test the competency model,through the exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis,respectively,the formation of outstanding / qualified private college teachers competency model.The competency model is composed of four levels of19 competencies: personal traits(personality charm,communication ability,affinity and patience,logical analysis,reflection),student-centered(focus on the development of students,to cultivate the overall quality of students,concerned about the students' learning needs,respect for care for students,student orientation),practical ability(dual ability,professional practice ability,theory with practice,business experience),professional accomplishment(teaching skills,professional knowledge,attention to teaching quality,scientific research ability,learning ability);qualified private college teachers competency model by the four levels of 14 competencies: ideological literacy(thinking ability,good values,professional ethics),Self-organization and management(adaptability,access and use of information,planning and organization coordination,self-control ability),communication and collaboration(teamwork,harmony with students,interpersonal relationships),teaching and research ability(teaching philosophy,innovation,Results conversion capacity,expertise).Finally,on the basis of the construction of this article,this paper puts forward some preliminary suggestions on the training of the teachers' competence and the construction of the contingent of the undergraduate colleges in the background of the transformation and development,including the introduction of scientific teachers,diversified teacher training,and institutionalized teacher management and so on.
