Students' evaluation of teaching is the key to improving the quality of teaching and the quality of personnel training,and it is also an important part of the actual teaching management of colleges and universities.Students' evaluation is mainly influenced by factors from both the teacher and the curriculum.Research on the factors influencing the students' evaluation of teaching can provide a deeper understanding of the students' evaluation of teaching,and can also promote student evaluation more specifically.The rational use of the teaching system in practice enhances the quality of teaching in universities.This study is based on the student evaluation data of 5329 undergraduate courses from X University in 2017-2018.It analyzes the influence of teacher variables and curriculum variables on students' evaluation of teaching,and the interaction of two variables on students' evaluation of teaching.Through quantitative analysis and case analysis,the study draws the following conclusions:First,the teacher's gender,age,professional title and academic background will not have a significant impact on student evaluation.Second,the curriculum variables have a significant impact on students' evaluation of teaching.The results of the "education" students are significantly better than the"compulsory" courses.The results of the students with professional courses are significantly better than the "public" and "pass" In the "Educational Education"category,the evaluation results of the "Medical" courses are significantly higher than those of other subjects.The "Social Science" courses are significantly lower than other subjects.Third,teacher factors and curriculum factors have an interactive impact on student evaluation.The teacher title has a significant interaction with the course category and the course size,and the professor has the lowest score in the public class and the highest score in the practice class.In the "small class" course,the professor has the lowest score.In the "big class" course,the professor's score is the highest.There is a significant interaction between the background of the teacher's education and the subject and the scale of the course.In the "Humanities" subject,the teacher with the doctoral degree has the lowest score,while in the "Science" class,the teacher with the doctoral degree has the highest score.Based on the above conclusions,this study proposes the following suggestions:First,the design of the student evaluation scale should be both diverse and professional,considering the differences between different curriculum characteristics and disciplines,Secondly,improve the dynamic supervision-feedback mechanism of students'evaluation of teaching results,and improve the practicality of students' evaluation results.Finally,build a benign evaluation ecology of colleges and universities,and promote the improvement of teaching quality through students' evaluation of teaching.
