A Survey Of Social Support System For Mothers With Two Children

Maternal social support refers to the support and help from the members of the interpersonal network for the mother in the process of raising children,which is centered on the mother of the child and consists of the mother of the child,the people around the mother who have contact with them,and the communication and supporting activities between them.The social support that mothers receive in the process of raising children is an important factor affecting their parenting ability and relieving life pressure.This paper takes women who have had two children as the object,and adopts the form of questionnaire survey to analyze and study the social support of this group,in order to reveal the composition of the existing social support system of this group and the existing problems as well as the main factors affecting the social support of this group.The research found that: 1.The social support network of second-born mothers is relatively small,mainly composed of "one or two persons",and the social support providers are mainly relatives who have direct contact with the second-born mothers,with a high degree of network closeness.Therefore,the social support network of second-child mothers needs to be expanded.2.The social support system for second-child mothers is mainly based on the traditional informal social support system,that is,the family support is the core.The formal social support system provides relatively little support and help for them,and they also receive very limited support and help from the formal social support system.Therefore,the social support network of second-child mothers has a large amount of hidden resources to be developed.3.Among the support obtained from the informal social support system,the second child mothers have more instrumental support,less emotional support and less information support.Social support provider of sequence is family(related)-relatives(relationships),friends(friendship),neighborhood(geopolitical relations),although this family as the core of the social relationship with inheritance,but these reflect blood,geopolitical relations close interpersonal radius small,relatively closed,offers a lack of social support is a flexible organized,hard to the whole social resources and into effective.4.The imperfect social support system is the main reason for second-child mothers to receive less social support,and the mother's own factors are also important reasons for them to receive less social support.On the one hand,the second child mother's lack of active acquisition spirit is the reason for her low utilization of socialsupport.On the other hand,it also indicates that the second child mother has limited access to social support.According to the results of the study to the construction of the second child of my mother good social support system is put forward two Suggestions,namely,to strengthen the construction of formal social support system and improve the family support as the core of the informal social support system,and to explore whether by enhancing the community's social support system to raise two children mother in the cradle in the process of the second child baby's ability to cope with difficulties and pressure.
