Group Work To Improve The Social Support Level Of Single Mothers

With the continuous development of China's economy and the acceleration of globalization and urbanization,people's traditional ideas have exerted a subtle influence.From the original family-first thinking to self-centered,the divorce rate has been rising.Among all groups,“single parent” and “female” become one,and single mothers become a group that the society needs to pay attention to.At present,in the southwestern region,social work can be said to be gradually maturing,and it plays an increasingly active and important role with its unique perspectives and concepts.Social work should be more effective in helping communities in today's rapidly developing era.Help Single mothers get out of trouble and provide professional services.This paper combines social support theory,social learning theory and social work practice,and issues questionnaires to analyze the status quo,problems and causes of low social support for single mothers.In this paper,the single mothers from the X community in Jintang County,Chengdu City were selected as the survey subjects.Using the method of combining group social work and related group work mode,the intervention activity was carried out for single mothers with low social support level.The shortcomings in the relevant group activities carried out by the community were summarized and reflected,and some suggestions were given to improve the quality of life of single mothers and give them perfect social support.Finally,in order to help single mothers get out of their predicaments in life and rebuild their confidence in life,the author uses social work concepts and professional methods to expand the intervention group activities.First,collect relevant information,analyze existing problems and possible causes.Secondly,to develop a reasonable service plan and practical intervention programs,the author found that the difficulties faced by single mothers are not only the dilemma of life,but also the relationship between parent-child relationship,physical and mental health and so on.Moreover,most of the existing support is based on informal support,and official support by the government,women's federations and other institutions is insufficient.By conducting health talks and parent-child activities for them,and recording,summarizing and analyzing each group's activities,the social support network and interpersonal circle of the client were expanded to promote development.Finally,we put forward countermeasures and suggestions were targeted from the micro,meso and macro three areas.
