| With the development of urbanization in China,more and more young people have settled in cities.Some of their parents have moved to cities to live with them due to the need of their own care or to help take care of their grandchildren.We call this group of people migrating elderly.The elderly who move to the city are separated from the familiar life circle,They have to bear all kinds of pressure that adapt to the new living environment.As the most direct living place after they move with their families,the harmony with their children has a direct impact on the quality of life of the old people in the city.Because of the different growth background and experience of the two generations,the difference is inevitable.The problem of intergenerational conflict generally exists in the accompanying families.Some families can be alleviated by self-regulation within the family,but there are also frequent family conflicts that are becoming more and more intense and irreconcilable,affecting the normal function of the family,causing trouble to the elderly and their children,which is not conducive to the physical and mental health of the elderly and Family harmony.Therefore,social work intervention in solving the intergenerational conflicts of the families with the migrants plays a positive role in improving the quality of life of the elderly with the migration and the harmony of family relations.Based on the method of case work,this paper combines participation observation with unstructured interviews to understand the basic situation and conflict problems of the elderly families by contacting the clients,and uses professional scales and questionnaires to evaluate the personal status of the case owners and family intergenerational relationship.According to the results of the analysis of the family problems of the case-holders,the structural family therapy model is selected.Starting from the analysis of family structure,the negative interaction modes of maintaining family problems are found out,which can help family members change their views on the problems,learn new ways of communication and interaction,enhance effective communication among family members,and help to establish flexible family subsystem boundaries and improve family structure.Finally,the purpose of alleviating the intergenerational conflict and personal symptoms of the patient's family is achieved.This study draws the following conclusions: Firstly,family intergenerational conflict is unavoidable in elderly families,but the root cause of maintaining conflict is the bad interaction of family members.Social work intervention should start from the whole family and pay attention to family communication.Secondly,Structural Family Therapy emphasizes that putting personal problems into family environment,expanding family's construction of problems,starting with changing family interaction mode,guiding families to establish effective communication mode and rebuilding family structure are effective ways to intervene in improving family intergenerational conflict,and helping families develop the ability to cope with corresponding problems.Finally,from the perspective of practical application,this paper rethinks and puts forward some suggestions on the reducing intergenerational conflict in families.Through this study,I hope to provide some experience and reference for social work intervention in family intergenerational conflict. |
