A Case Study Of Social Work Involving The Satya Model On Intergenerational Communication Among The Elderly Living Alone In Rural Areas

As the aging situation in China is becoming more and more severe,it also brings a lot of problems and needs related to the elderly,which means that the social work of the elderly in China is facing a huge challenge.The rural elderly living alone are faced with many problems in economy,spirit,social entertainment and other aspects,which put forward higher requirements for social workers.The Satya family therapy model adopted in this paper provides a new idea for the localization of social work.Different from the traditional pattern of family therapy,attach more importance to the service object satya family therapy model native home looking for the root of the problem,think the problem is not the individual itself,but rather than live in the family system,think that everyone has the power to change that,attaches great importance to the practice,promote to solve the problem in practice.Rural elderly group living alone has been an important part of the elderly group,should be paid attention to.This article selected are S village old people who live alone as the research object to carry out a case study,through interviews and visits to understand the current problems existing in the service object,found that the old man is the main problem is in the aspect of spirit,because of poor communication often contradictions and conflicts with family members,low self-esteem,weaken the sense of life,etc.Using satya family therapy on the basis of this model in the iceberg model,family sculpture technology such as communication problems of the old man to step in and put the problem of the whole family system,social workers by director and their family members to express the heart true feelings,reduction of bad communication attitude,to see the current existing problems of family communication way,and with the help of social workers to break the original family communication pattern,build a new family communication attitude,forming a harmonious family atmosphere.This paper is mainly divided into five parts: introduction,case work preparation,practical process,summary and reflection,conclusion.The main part of the article is to understand the problems and needs of the service objects through interviews,and to use the Satya family therapy mode to intervene,which is divided into the contact period,the transformation period and the consolidation period.After the service,the whole intervention process was summarized and reflected,so as to provide reference for future research in related fields.
