Violence in order to explore the community contact,the correlation between self-concept and depression,and especially the self concept in the mediation role of community violence contact and depression,this study selected Jingmen,Hubei province,Yichang phosphate rock experimental school Shanghai secondary schools,513 junior high school students as subjects,the violence in children's community contact questionnaire,Tennessee self concept scale(TSCS)and children's depression inventory(CDI)as the tool of questionnaire survey,statistical analysis through the questionnaire survey,the results are as follows:(1)There is a demographic difference in the score of junior high school students' community violence exposure variables: there is a significant difference in the gender of junior high school students' community violence exposure,and the results show that the level of boys' community violence exposure is higher than that of girls.There were no significant differences among junior high school students of different grades in the dimensions of total score of community violence contact,direct community violence contact and indirect community violence contact.There were significant differences in the community violence contact of junior high school students between the only-child and the non-only-child.There is a significant difference in community violence contact in the location of family.In direct community violence contact and indirect community violence contact,the score of rural students is significantly higher than that of urban students,and the score of rural students is higher than that of urban students.(2)There are demographic differences in junior high school students' scores of self-concept variables: junior high school students of different genders have gender differences in self-concept dimensions such as self-satisfaction,physiological self,moral self and psychological self,and girls have lower scores than boys in self-concept dimensions.There were significant differences in self-concept among different grades,including grade differences in dimensions such as self-knowledge and social self.Students in grade 1 scored lower than those in grade 2 and grade 3,while students in grade 2 scored lower than those in grade 3.Whether the only child has significant difference in self-concept,the only child is significantly higher than the non-only child in all dimensions of self-concept and the total score of self-concept.In addition to the fact that there was no difference in the dimensions of self-criticism among junior high school students with different home addresses,there were significant differences in other dimensions of self-concept.The total scores of self-concept and multiple dimensions of urban teenagers were significantly higher than those of rural teenagers.(3)There was a demographic difference in the scores of depression variables of junior high school students: there was a significant difference in the gender of junior high school students' depression,and the depression level of female students was significantly higher than that of male students.There was no significant difference in grade between junior high school students with depression.There was no significant difference in depression scores between only children and non-only children.There was no significant difference in the depression of junior high school students in family location.There was a significant difference in the depression scores of junior high school students,and there was a significant difference in the total depression scores between the students with poor academic performance and those with excellent academic performance.(4)There was a close correlation between community violence exposure,self-concept and depression of junior high school students.There was a significant negative correlation between self-concept and the dimensions of community violence contact,direct community violence contact and indirect community violence contact.The total scores of direct community violence contact,indirect community violence contact and community violence contact were positively correlated with the total score of depression.There was a close negative correlation between depression score and self-concept,and a close positive correlation between depression and negative coping.(5)Self-concept played a partial mediating role between community violence exposure and depression of junior high school students.
