"Life-oriented mathematics" is an important teaching concept that stands on adapting to the social development needs and the height of responsibility for students, it advocates that the mathematics teaching should be closely linked with real life, as "the mathematics curriculum standard "requires. teachers should make full use of students' previous life experience. and guide the student to practice knowledge of mathematics in real life, to experience the value of mathematical application in real life. From the concept raising, many experts, scholars have made related research, more and more first teachers are exploring and practicing the teaching of "life-oriented mathematics ", we should say that " life-oriented mathematics " in math study and practice has made great progress, but due to the understanding of" life-oriented mathematics " in teaching is not full, which leads that formalized phenomenon in teaching appears commonly, it deviates from the idea of " life-oriented mathematics ". So explicit meaning of "life-oriented mathematics " and distinct role of it are the necessary premise of accurately understanding the concept.Based on the summarization of related research achievements of predecessors, combining with the new curriculum standard requirements, this paper further summarizes and analyzes the meaning of " life-oriented mathematics ". and explicitly points out that " life-oriented mathematics " should contain " making mathematics into life-style " and " making life into mathematics-style" two dimensions of meaning, the former is a means, the latter is objective, both supplement each other. This paper divides the function of "life-oriented mathematics ". into five categories and made comparatively detailed explanation of meaning and function. in order to set the foundation for the research in practical exploration."life-oriented mathematics "concept requires teachers to change the traditional teaching concept, teaching mode. teaching method and so on. which put forward a higher request for the teachers" quality. Although many teachers held positive attitude toward the concept, they feel difficulties in practicing generally, especially to high school teacher, because the knowledge they teach are abstract, they think that it's difficulty to seek life materials and to create life situation...Regarding to these problems, combining with plenty of examples the paper makes detailed analysis and exploration.Life is a huge mathematics class, life material can from students' studying and living experience, social life and common sense. objective things and phenomena, scientific discovery and development, historical allusion and stories, etc, the material life exists in everywhere life, we just need to watch carefully, discovery and think more. In addition, the new teaching materials seriously emphasize practical problems, and it provides much life material for us, the key is that we should use these materials fully and effectively. In specific teaching in class, the design of life situation constitute create good premise for "life-oriented mathematics ". In order to create life situation, we must know some creating context. This paper points out that creating life situation should pay attention to the following five principles:from real life situation, based on student knowledge experience, to be able to reflect mathematics knowledge essence, can arouse students' mathematical thinking, to be able to point to mathematics teaching goal. But, it is much difficult to achieve "life-oriented mathematics " concept, practical teaching unavoidably will appear awkward situation, the paper combining with actual cases analyzes the challenges we may meet from math challenges and teaching challenge. then combining the characteristics of teachers'work puts forward eight suggestions. hoping to help teachers to fill "life-oriented mathematics " teaching better and faster.In this paper the research of "life-oriented mathematics " is not only a theoretical analysis, but also lists rich examples and teaching case to realize the combine of teaching theory and teaching practice, hoping can provide reference and inspiration for fellow teachers teaching work.
