Interpersonal relationship theory shows that sociality is the essence of human beings.This sociality is manifested in interpersonal relationships.Poor interpersonal relationships can lead to mental illness in individuals.Secondary vocational students are in their adolescence.Interpersonal relationships are a relatively important topic at this stage.Poor interpersonal relationships will affect the mental health of secondary vocational students.Therefore,this study implemented group counseling interventions on the basis of the current status investigation and relationship research of appearance rejection sensitivity and social avoidance,thereby reducing the appearance rejection sensitivity and social avoidance of vocational students.First of all,the scale of 500 students in a secondary vocational college in Huaibei was researched and data was collected to understand the current status of appearance rejection sensitivity and social avoidance,and the relationship between the two was selected.Second,the subjects with high scores were selected.Forty-six people were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group.The experimental group was given group-assisted intervention,and the control group was taught normally.Post-test the experimental group after the group counseling to check the effect of the intervention.The conclusions of the study are as follows:(1)The general situation of the appearance rejection sensitivity of secondary vocational students is at a moderately low level.There is no significant difference in demographic variables in the appearance rejection sensitivity and expected dimensions,and the anxiety dimension has significant differences in the birthplace and grade;The overall situation of social avoidance is at the middle-to-upper level.There is a significant difference in gender in social avoidance.There is no significant difference in region,whether or not,and grade.(2)Sensitivity of appearance rejection of secondary vocational students and their dimensions are significantly positively correlated with social avoidance,and appearance rejection sensitivity can positively predict social avoidance.(3)Group counseling can significantly reduce the susceptibility of secondary school students to their appearance rejection and improve their anxiety.Students cantake the initiative to engage in social interactions to improve their social avoidance,and the effect of group supplementary intervention is obvious.
