The arrival of educational information 2.0 era has provided the basic conditions for the further development and promotion of micro-lectures.Nowadays,the common micro-lectures in China are mostly courseware screen recording micro-lectures or classroom recording micro-lectures.These micro-lectures' form is relatively simple.What's more,they had problems such as poor usability,uneven quality what made it difficult to highlight the advantages of micro-lectures.This study focused on a software with simple operation and powerful interactive function--Demo Builder.Combing with the subject characteristics of high school biology and the high school situation,the author tried to explore new ideas for optimizing the design and production of high school biology micro-lectures.The purpose is to improve the quality of high school biology micro-lectures and give full play to the advantages of micro-classes in high school biology teaching.This study is guided by Constructivism Learning Theory,Cognitive Load Theory,and Cone Of Experience Theory.By reading and analyzing the literature,the author teased out the research status of micro-lectures and Demo Builder at home and abroad.On the basis of fully digging out the software's functions and advantages of the Demo Builder,the author explained the principles and general process of designing micro-lectures based on Demo Builder.Then,the author took the third chapter of the Biological Compulsory Module 1 in senior high school for People's Education Press as an example to introduce the process of making micro-lectures in detail.Then,the author gave some suggestions on designing micro-lectures.It provided a reference to make micro-lectures for teachers.In addition,using the software to make micro-lectures and apply them has filled the gaps in the design and application of it.The study has also enriched the production methods and presentation forms of micro-lectures,and made itpossible to make more high-quality micro-lectures.After the micro-lectures' application,the author made questionnaire survey of experimental students,interviewed biology teachers,analyzed the test's results and reached the following conclusions finally: Micro-lectures made by Demo Builder have a positive role in improving students' interest and autonomy in learning biology,enriching their learning life,and understanding the most difficult and difficult points.At the same time,the micro-lectures made by Demo Builder have been loved by many teachers and students.They also expressed their willingness to make or continue to use micro-lectures in future.Although the average scores of the two experimental classes are higher than those of the control class,this advantage is not obvious due to the objective factors such as the author's ability to make micro-lectures,limited application chapters,hardware conditions of the internship school,and more boarders.However,the author believes that with the further improvement of micro-lectures,the further upgrade of software,the systematic construction of online teaching platforms,Demo Builder software will be recognized by more and more educators.Micro-lecture will better serve high school biology teaching.
