The Risk Perception Of The Solo Female Travellers

With the stability of social security,the promotion of women's discourse power and the release of women's personality,women are getting stronger and stronger inside.More and more female tourists who pursue freedom and independence choose to travel alone and explore herself in the unknown world.Lone Girl has become a new scenery in the tourism market.But at the same time,under the influence of patriarchy,the society is more cautious and skeptical.In the media reports,many similar events has been reported such as solo female tourist was missing or killed.The risk factors faced by solo female tourists are complex and severe.Women travel alone opens a door to her heart as well as a window to risk.Regardless of social public opinion and family influence,as far as women themselves are concerned,how do they think about travelling alone and the risks?This is not only the identification and avoidance of the risk of women traveling alone,but also the cognition and discussion of the value of risk.The discussion is rarely seen in the domestic tourism academic circles on the influence of the risk perception of the solo female travelers on their behavior preference.At present,there are few research results about the solo female tourists in China.Most of the studies on female tourists focus on the macro-analysis of the female tourism market,preferring to study the purchasing power of female tourists,lacking the research on the main body of female tourists and the construction of solo female tourists especially.Although solo female tourists as an independent and highly personalized market has attracted the attention of the industry,but it seems that the academic community still pay insufficient attention to it.Even though there are some research results on female solo travel in the tourism field abroad,based on the social nature,historical,cultural and ideological differences,solo female tourists in China is bound to be different and more Chinese.Therefore,it should be an important topic to discuss the influence of the risk perception of the solo female travelers on their behavior preference.This paper takes the solo female tourists as the research object,discusses the world of women's tourism psychology,constructs the dimension of risk perception,explores the influence of the risk perception of the solo female travelers on their behavior preference and reveals the significance of women traveling alone.Try to answer:what risks do solo female tourists perceive?How do solo female tourists interpret risks?What is the influence of the risk perception of the solo female travelers on their behavior preference?And the significance of women travel alone.In this study,sample data were collected through in-depth interviews and text collection of online travel notes.Combined with random sampling,snowball sampling and target sampling,a total of 35 women traveling alone were interviewed,65 network travel notes were collected,and a qualitative study was carried out.After root analysis,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)The construction of risk perception of solo female traveler.Risk and value are coaxial,and risk perception is the dividing line between risk and value.First of all,from the perspective of time dimension,female solo risk perception can be divided into strategic level and tactical level.Strategic level refers to pre-tourism risk prediction,and on the basis of fully assessing the value and risk significance of travel alone to decide and not to go.And the tactical level,it includes risk identification in tourism and risk reflection after tourism,so as to avoid risk.It is worth emphasizing that women travel alone to feel the risk in the value,not simply to avoid the risk out of prevention.Secondly,from the point of view of type division,the risk of female solo travel can be divided into three types:physical risk,psychological risk and role risk.In particular,role risk,tourism space is also the living space of others,so tourism space also exists masculine and privilege.The content of women in this space is easy to be "materialized,and "sexualized".Because of the threshold of perception,there are often sexual cues and sexual permission,which also makes women more vulnerable to danger in the tourism world.(2)An interpretation of the risk of solo female travelers.A continuous spectrum of risk rejection,risk paradox,indifferent,rational treatment and risk acceptance is formed to explain the attitude of the solo female travelers to the risk,No matter what attitude women take towards risk,whether they accept it or not,the existence of risk is an indisputable fact.Therefore,in the process of travel alone,women will consciously or subconsciously take circumvention measures to ensure their own safety,thus directly affecting the behavior preference of solo female travelers.In addition,the interpretation of risk may be related to their motivation to travel alone.Women traveling alone are by no means pursuing risk,nor will stop traveling alone because of the risks.What they actually pursue is a kind of cultural and spiritual security.Therefore,so1o female travelers are the suitors of cultural and spiritual security.(3)The influence of the risk perception of the solo female travelers on their behavior preference.This paper finds that the difference of risk perception and risk interlpretation will directly affect the state,the time choice and the space choice of the solo female travelers.Firstly,the influence of female solo state is mainly reflected in three aspects:mental state,active state and appearance state.Secondly,the influence of time choice is mainly reflected in the choice of tourism time,the choice of activity time and the choice of solo travel time.Finally,the influence of space selection is reflected in the choice of accommodation space and activity space,respectively.(4)The significance of traveling alone,For female individuals,women travel alone is conducive to the transformation and empowerment of women,helps to reshape women's identity consciousness,and realizes the individual life value of women.For society,this phenomenon is a challenge to the social and gender-building system,which can help to break through the natural boundary,extend to the time and space,open up an equal thinking space,and pursue the ideal society of equality between men and women.Women travel alone is also helpful to enhance the identity of all women from "self-confidence" to "others-confidence",to gain social respect and recognition,to obtain greater independence and freedom,and to improve the status of female subjects.Finally,women can feel the power of solitude.No matter men and women,everyone should have their own time and space to be alone,precipitate and relax,understand thinking,and have a sense of being alone.
