Research On The Influence Of Award-winning Books Of Humanities And Social Science Awards In Colleges And Universities

At present,countries around the world are paying more and more attention to the selection of academic resources,the level of researchers,and the quality of research results.The "Outstanding Achievements in Scientific Research of Higher Education Institutions(Humanities and Social Sciences)"(hereinafter referred to as the "Social Sciences Awards")is the highest award in the field of humanities and social sciences in China,and objectively reflects the staged characteristics and research level of the development of humanities and social sciences in China Has promoted the progress of humanities and social science research in China.As an important result screening tool,its authority has been recognized by the society and academia,and its evaluation criteria have a good guiding role in the evaluation of our research results.Books are a material carrier for the systematic storage of academic creators 'ideas,viewpoints,scientific research activities,and achievements,and are an indispensable reference tool for teaching and scientific research.Therefore,from the perspective of social science knowledge production,award-winning books can better reflect the selection criteria of social science awards.Winning a social science award for a book means that the quality of the book is recognized.An impact study of the social science award-winning books can not only understand the development status and trends of China's social science research,but also help to explore objective and reasonable scientific research evaluation standards.Under this background,this paper conducts an empirical study on the influence of the awards of social science awards,mainly divided into three parts:(1)statistical analysis of the overview of the awards books from the 1st to the 7th edition of the social science awards,including the number of books,Distribution of disciplines,publishing houses and award-winning institutions.(2)Explore the scope and intensity of the academic influence of the award-winning books of the Social Science Award from three angles: citing journal,citing person,and citing thesis topic.(3)Analyze the number of library collections and the distribution characteristics of collection institutions according to the collection of award-winning books;select indicators such as Douban comment volume,Baidu retrieval volume(number of web pages)and other indicators to analyze the network impact of the award-winning books of social science awards.The results of the study found that:(1)There are a certain number ofzero-cited and low-cited books,and the influence of high-h index scholars is relatively small,and the scope of influence is also concentrated in this field.(2)The layout of disciplines has been further optimized,and the degree of polarization has been reduced.Among them,cross-disciplines serve as a link connecting the knowledge of disciplines,and their development advantages and functions are prominent.(3)The number of award-winning books in some key universities is too small,and there is a situation where the strength of the liberal arts is not strong.In addition,the problem of brain drain is an important reason for the unsatisfactory performance of some universities.(4)The collection institutions of award-winning books are mainly concentrated in North China and South China.More than half of the award-winning libraries have less than 200 collections.The population of the award-winning books can be limited.In addition,the number of web pages of some award-winning books and the number of Douban book reviews Less,lack of online attention.
