The work of Social science achievement evaluation is not only an important part of Social sciences academic management in higher education institutes, but also an important measure of promotes Social science development orderly. However, at present many problems of the achievement evaluation of social science affect the development of the social science. Based on all this, the research on the social science achievement evaluation in higher education institutes is very important.In this article some methods such as literature research methods, case study methods and comparative research methods are used to analyze the present situation of social science achievement evaluation in higher education institutes. I realize some problems existing in social science achievement. There are three main issues:Firstly, the achievement evaluation orientation of administrativization. Secondly, achievement evaluation body of dislocation. Thirdly, evaluation methods are simple and quantitative. Then I analyze the cause which from the above problems and give some practicable advice on social science achievement evaluation, which playing certain reference function for promoting social science development orderly, solving imperfect phenomenon of social science achievement evaluation in higher education institutes.At present, many problems exist in the social science achievement evaluation. To solve these problems need the joint efforts of the higher education institutes and society. Therefore the author thinks the following advices should be followed: In higher education institutes, establish social science representative achievement evaluation system as soon as possible, strengthen the system of the academic committee, based on the situation of social science subject and achievement to construct the multivariate standard of evaluation and extend the evaluation period, perfect evaluation program in the social science achievement. In society, it needs establish professional evaluation institutions to cooperate with the perfection of social science achievement evaluation system in higher education institutes.
