Scientific literacy,as an essential quality necessary for students, plays an important role in future study, work and life, and is a quality that students must possess.China attaches great importance to science education, especially primary school science education, but primary school science has not been included in academic evaluation. In the course of class, students, parents and other teachers generally do not pay attention to the subject of primary school science, and classroom discipline is not ideal. And other issues. There are many science teachers with non-scientific backgrounds.Public schools have large class sizes and insufficient teacher resources and learning resources.Primary school science learning is an important position to cultivate students' scientific literacy.Learning primary school science has an inseparable relationship between their next stage of study and future work and life. Therefore,it is necessary to change the traditional classroom teaching method and improve the effectiveness of science teaching. This thesis uses action research, pen and paper test and questionnaire survey.Based on the needs of students, this paper investigates the students' intention of science class, and selects 6 projects for group teaching.Under the guidance of cooperative learning theory, students in 3 classes are randomly grouped, freely grouped, freely grouped and equipped with a teacher assistant, which is equivalent to reducing the class size to a small class. The teacher makes clear the teaching objective before class, creates the situation in class, the student group puts forward the hypothesis through discussion and verifies through the cooperative exploration. After the experiment, the group summarizes and demonstrates its own results, and finally forms the summative evaluation. In the process of teaching, teachers recorded students' learning behavior, class participation, activity completion degree and test scores, and evaluated the effect of cooperative learning through the ability score of group cooperative learning and the final test, and discussed which factors affected the learning effect.Through the comparative analysis of different group types of classes,it is found that students' final scores are significantly correlated with their cooperative learning ability score.Students' performance in the aspects of active participation in the project, cooperation with other team members and classroom questioning will affect their science test scores. The comparison of students' performance and cooperative learning ability in different groups shows that the class with a teacher assistant has the best cooperative learning effect, which indicates that reducing the class size can effectively improve the cooperative learning effect of primary school students. In the group cooperative teaching, encouraging students to participate actively, reducing the class size appropriately and increasing the quota of science teachers can improve students' ability of cooperative learning and science performance, and improve the effect of science learning.
