Intuitive imagination is one of the six basic mathematical literacy,which is a kind of mathematical literacy to understand and solve mathematical problems by means of spatial imagination and geometric intuition.By means of Literature Review,student testing,classroom observation and teacher-student interviews,the present study investigated and analyzed the cultivation of students' intuitive imagination in Grade 8 and Grade 9.On the one hand,the disjointed learning pattern,the inertia thinking of separating numbers from shapes,the weak basic knowledge and basic skills of some students are the important reasons that affect students' visual imagination.On the other hand,most junior middle school mathematics teachers do not attach much importance to the cultivation of visual imagination,and the simple visual teaching method and the weak multimedia technology are also the important factors that restrict the improvement of visual imagination.In order to strengthen the cultivation of junior school students' visual imagination,this study suggests that junior high school mathematics teachers should:(1)further enhance the awareness of cultivating students' visual imagination;(3)strengthen the integration of technology and content,and to stress the cultivation of students'thinking habits by combining numbers and forms;(4)strengthen the teaching of students' basic knowledge and the training of their basic skills.
