With the development of curriculum reform,our country pays close attention to the development of students’ core literacy.Intuitive imagination,as one of the core literacy of mathematics,is an important means to discover and propose mathematical problems,analyze and solve mathematical problems.It is also the thinking basis for exploring and forming arguments,conducting mathematical reasoning,and constructing abstract structures.According to the connotation of intuitive imagination and the knowledge level of students in junior high school,this paper divides the level of mathematical intuitive imagination literacy of junior high school students.Based on this,a student questionnaire and teacher interview outline are compiled to investigate the students and teachers of a middle school in Yan’an City,Shaanxi Province.Using a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods for analysis,the following conclusions are obtained:(1)The intuitive imagination literacy of most students in this school has reached the level of using graphics to describe problems.It is necessary to further strengthen students’ ability to analyze problems with graphics in order to form the basic idea of exploring problems;(2)Junior high school and high school teachers have different understanding of the connotation of intuitive imagination,and junior high school teachers are relatively weak.They agree that the cultivation of intuitive imagination literacy is mainly reflected in the geometric part;(3)The factors that affect the development of students’ intuitive imagination literacy include the students’ own basic knowledge,basic ability,learning attitude,and way of thinking,the intuition of objects in teachers’ teaching,hands-on activities and the use of computer-assisted teaching,as well as parents’ living habits and educational concepts.Combined with teachers’ teaching experience and the analysis results of this paper,three strategies are put forward for the cultivation of students’ intuitive imagination literacy in teachers’ teaching:(1)Increase hands-on practice and strengthen geometric perception;(2)Skillfully use graphics to "speak" and cultivate geometric intuition;(3)Combine information technology to expand space imagination.
