(1)The total number of textbook models in American is greater than that of Chinese textbooksThe number of models in American version of the textbook is 396,the number of models in the human education is 330,and the number of models in the Zhejiang version is 261,and the number of models in American version is 51.7%more than that of the Zhejiang version.It can be seen that the number of models in the American version of textbooks is significantly more than that in China.(2)The explicit expression of Chinese textbooks model is better than that of American textbookMany models in the two versions of Chinese textbooks,especially those represented by visual representation and physical representation,have the literal labels of "model graph" and other labels representative models.In addition,the human education version is the only textbook in the three versions that elaborates the concept and type of model and regards the modeling model as a scientific method.These models are presented in explicit language,which helps to improve the cognition of textbook users to the models.Therefore,the explicit expression of Chinese textbooks' models is better than that of American textbooks.(3)The multiple representativeness of the model of American textbook is better than that of Chinese textbooksThe multiple representativeness of the model means that the same thing can be represented by many different models.Because different models have different representational methods and characteristics of representational prototypes,the use of multiple representations can better play the various functions of the models,so that students can have a more comprehensive understanding of scientific concepts.According to the analysis,the American version of the textbook is more inclined to use different kinds of models to represent the same knowledge point than the two versions of the Chinese textbooks,that is,the multiple representations of the American version of the textbook model are better than the two versions of the Chinese textbooks.(4)The mixed representation method of the model in the American version is more than that of Chinese textbooksAs for the different representational modes of models,Chinese textbooks mainly adopt the single representational mode,while American textbook mainly adopt the mixed representational mode,and the number of mixed representational modes in American textbook is significantly higher than that in Chinese textbooks.The most important reason is that the American version presents more models in the way of visual mixing and material mixing than Chinese textbooks,and its presentation features pictures or photos with a description or explanation.The number of mathematical mixed representation is also more than the number of Chinese textbooks.
