With the introduction and implementation of the "Comprehensive Two-Child"policy,more and more families will be transformed from one-child families to two-child families, and the first child in the family will experience a new family relationship-sibling relationship.Sibling relationship is the relationship with the longest duration from birth to death, and has an important influence on the development of the individual.Whether the sibling relationship is positive or not has an important effect on the individual's mental health, social development, and other interpersonal relationships.Studies have shown that transitions between first-born children and their siblings can produce psychological and behavioral changes.Whether the first-born child can live in harmony with his siblings, whether the parental rearing style of the first-born child will affect his sibling relationship, and how the parents of the second-born family should raise their children scientifically are questions that this research wants to explore. This study explores the impact of parenting styles on sibling relationships among first-born children from a family perspective, and makes recommendations for parents of two-child families to improve parenting styles and sibling relationships. In this study,181 first-born infants and their parents were selected as research objects, and questionnaire surveys and interviews were used to collect data,so as to analyze and study the current status of parenting styles and sibling relationships of first-born infants and the impact of the former on the latter. The conclusions reached are as follows:1.Parental rearing of first-born children is generally more active, with democratic parenting as the mainstay. There is a significant difference in the parental style of doting and autocracy in the sex variables of the first-born child. There is a significant difference in the parenting style of the first-born baby in the temperament type variables. There were no significant differences in education, age of the first child, family location, and monthly household income variables. The sibling relationship of first-born children is characterized by higher sibling warmth and lower sibling conflict.Sibling warmth in first-born children's sibling relationships differs significantly in sibling age differences, monthly family income, parental marriage,parent-child relationships.First-born children's sibling relationships differ in first-born children's sex, age, temperament type, sibling gender combination, family location There are no significant differences.3.The democracy of parenting is significantly positively related to the sibling warmth of the first-born child. The doting,laissez-faire,autocratic,and inconsistent parental parenting are significantly positively related to the sibling conflict of the first-born child. The democratic nature of parenting has a significant positive predictive effect on the sibling warmth of the first-born child, and the authoritarian and laissez-faire parental parenting has a significant positive predictive effect on the sibling conflict of the first-born child.Based on the above conclusions, this study puts forward relevant suggestions from the aspects of parents' raising education level and coordinating their children's sibling relations.
