With the reform of the education system and the development of the social economy, the role of academic qualifications and diplomas as a social screening function is becoming more and more prominent, and education has become an important mechanism that affects the upward mobility of individuals.Affected by the internal driving force of changing status, more and more rural families are involved in the competition for access to high-quality education opportunities.Entering the city to accompany study is a typical form of rural families participating in the competition in the field of education in order to achieve educational aspirations. From the perspective of education ambition, this article takes the rural accompanying family in a middle school in Sichuan as a research case to explore how educational ambition affects the reading strategy of rural families and the effectiveness of family education ambition. The study found that education ambition is the most fundamental internal factor driving rural families to study in cities.Behind this high expectation lies the ideal trilogy designed by families for their children:going to university? good work? good life.Affected by factors such as family capital, members'life history experience, children's academic performance, and school teachers' authority judgments, the family's understanding of the effectiveness of education and the ultimate goal orientation of their children's education are different, and education aspirations show differences. In order to pass on the ambitions of family education and achieve the basic goal of "going to university",rural accompanying families mainly adopt the following strategies:use social network relationships and economic capital to choose schools and classes for their children;build a social circle for accompanying students and obtain through weak ties All information that is conducive to children's learning;subtle interaction with teachers, strive to master the competition rules in the field of education, hoping to help children's learning through the presence of reading. However, the process of transferring educational ambitions is complicated.Affected by structural factors such as the uneven development of external urban and rural education, the gap between urban and rural students' educational access under reduced burden, and the lack of internal family cultural capital and economic capital, rural accompanying families may not have sufficient motivation and ability to achieve Long-term educational ambitions.First, the educational ambitions of the fathers failed to be translated into actual educational investment in time.Parents failed to shape positive educational ambitions for their children in the early stage, which caused the family to miss the best time to pass on the educational ambitions.Second, with the development of mobile Internet and mobile communication terminals,parent-child education ambitions are different, and children do not necessarily agree with their parents' educational ambitions.Even if some families can successfully pass on their ambitions, there are still very few students who have the potential to break through, and it is still difficult for most people to avoid the fate of social reproduction. Finally, this article analyzes the possible ways to achieve educational aspirations. In the long run, balanced urban-rural education development is a fundamental measure for realizing rural family education ambitions and a key move for rural students to get rid of the fate of social reproduction.
