With the rapid development of urbanization,China's rural education is rapidly in line with the urban.May,2001,the country began a wide range of rural school layout adjustment,merger of a large number of rural small scale,poor schools,rural students to focus on a part of the town school.The continuous range of the implementation of this policy to rural schools decreased rapidly,and this fact is directly related to the rural life and the choice of students and parents.Facing the difference of urban and rural education resources and education system reform and adjustment,as students directly responsible for people in rural areas parents made the accompanying action choice.What is the current status of rural accompanying parents?What is the reason for our widespread?This study in G City,Shanxi Province rural parents as cases,with the method of qualitative research data were collected through the description of the status of rural accompanying parents,analysis the life those changes occurred,exploration of rural parents accompanying the phenomenon of individual reasons and social causes.The study shows that:(1)The implementation process of rural accompanying parents,from the beginning of the parents to read motivation,is the pursuit of urban high quality education resources,in order to give their children more comfortable living environment and learning conditions;It is the whole family decided to make the decision,decided to study rational calculation or education investment and return,or for the children love and value judgment too,in the two point causes between family members under the coordination of the task to make a family member accompanying the decision;The economic capital accumulation to study life possible,use of social capital to help parents to read with their parents for their children in selected schools,one class,and rental these conditions,so that the rural parents realization.(2)Rural parents' accompanying phenomenon results from,firstly,strong sense of responsibility to their parents for emotional choice,school distance and boarding school concerns to promote rural parents to read to their children.it is the parents of school closure and policy of the social consequences of individual responsibility;secondly,the accompanying phenomenon occurs because the parents personal life experience and the environment and the traditional higher education to parents' expectations for their children,they give their children in order to provide superior educational resources and educational environment,to improve their children's educational achievement to choose accompanying;finally,rural parents accompanying is affected by the fact or imagined community pressure and has a herd mentality,so as to make our behavior.(3)Analysis of the social origin of the rural parents accompanying behavior from the perspective of social structure.First of all,the social background of the urban-rural difference in education resources,the rural lacks education resources.Secondly,to promote the implementation of the compulsory education balance of rural school layout adjustment policy makes rural parents to accompany.Thirdly,locking of the channels of talent screening social mobility makes the rural parents who lack of social capital and economic capital to put children's education as the only channel to get social mobility,in order to realize the social mobility at the expense of sacrificing his own original life.Finally,advocating education and cultural,social mentality of "education can change the fate" makes rural parents to accompany.Under the background of China's urbanization of rural education and pay attention to the cultural traditions of the family ethics,in order to provide a superior education resources and the education environment for children,parents in rural areas made or relatives can apply for action selection.However,between rural parents to read with their parents because of the different economic and social capital accumulation and differentiation,resulting in the accompanying parents and lead to inequality,the accompanying problem solving need to solved in the process of society as a whole.
