The strict implementation of the one-child policy has led to a sharp decline in the fertility rate in rural areas, and the rural family structure and size tend to be core and small. At the same time, the shortage of reserve population resources of traditional marriage results in the emergence of "semi-married" marriage.Based on this, this paper takes Houcun as an example, patriarchy theory as theoretical perspective, using the method of depth interview and observation to collect data, trying to analysis the causes of "semi-married" marriage form, and the influence of the unique marriage arrangements in production relations, power relations, and emotional relationship. It is finds that the "semi-married" is the result of the system, economy and clan culture.First of all,the family planning policy leads to the rural family "childless pension" and the pension supporting mechanism is not sound is the important institutional factors.Second, parents' expectation of return on investment, children's desire to enjoy bilateral resources and intergenerational consumption are important economic rational considerations. Finally, the belief in ancestor worship, filial logic and face competition derive from the patriarchal order. On the basis of the analysis of the formation mechanism of "semi-married" marriage, this paper further studies the family relationship of "semi-married" families.First of all, from the perspective of production relations, the picture of gender division of labor in "semi-married" marriage families presents a "cooperative model".Both internal and external is an important feature of the division of housework. It has shifted to the mode of"joint undertaking" by both husband and wife. The parents of both sides have become the"second wife" of the nuclear family. The division of family support is a dual system, daughters and sons need to assume the responsibility of supporting their parents, then in-laws become tense due to the competition for pension resources, and brothers and sisters shirk their responsibility of supporting each other.Female figures in sacrificial activities are still in a subordinate and marginal position.Secondly,in the view of power relations, the "semi-married" marriage family presents a negotiable power relation pattern.Inheritance qualification changes from "father to son" to"daughter is also the successor" and alters the male monolineage inheritance system.Family economic resource management shows gender difference in different generations, and downward resource has shifted from "internal and external" to "non-discriminatory".And there is a trend of democratization in the decision-making of family affairs. Also women have greater autonomy in making personal decisions. Finally,in the opinion of emotional relationship, the connection of family members tends to be equal. The marriage pattern of "ambilocal residence" and the non-fixed extended family structure make the relationship between husband and wife more balanced and the intergenerational emotional relationship closer. In addition,in terms of external emotional connection,it has realized the pattern of no difference between husband and wife. And the kinship terminology is approaching identity. Also whip-round shows that women are obedient and dependent on their husbands in family external communication, only men are the representative of the family.Under the influence of patriarchal clan system, the family relationship in "semi-married"marriage is cooperative, negotiable and equal, but it is also a passive equilibrium.
