Women's issues have gradually aroused scholars' concern in the field of intercultural communication, but there are few studies on married women's relationship with their family members. This thesis selects 105 reports in Women of China and Real Simple from 2014 to 2016 as research materials. The core parts of this thesis are to make comparisons of cultural differences of married Chinese and American women's relationship with their seniors, husbands, and children by adopting intercultural communication theory of Hofstede's four value dimensions,Edward T.Hall's high vs.low context communication theory and Ting-Toomey's face-negotiation theory. The findings of this study show that due to different cultural historical backgrounds, people hold different values. Therefore, married Chinese women value filial piety,high-power distance,collectivism,masculinity,high-context communication,mutual-face and other-face maintenance in getting along with their family. However, married American women value individualism,independence,low-power distance,low-context communication, and self-face maintenance in getting along with their family.
