The social structure of our country has undergone tremendous changes after thereforming and opening up. The urban-rural dual system barriers have become loosen,which has troubled urban and rural coordinated development. Most rural labor forcebegan to flow to the city since the90’s of last century. Because of all kinds ofrestrains, many women, children and the elders can’t flow with them to the city tobecome the left-behind women, left-behind children and the left-behind elders.The left-behind family has been attacked from the change of family structureand function because of the migrant labors. For example, how can the left-behindwomen start farm product? How do they face the instable factors? Especially, forthe left-behind women, how do they protect their marriage? So, it is of greatrealistic significance to make research on the relationship of the left-behind womanand her husband.There are four steps to research the topic. Firstly, the macro theories aboutthe relationship of wives and husbands have been researched. Secondly, the theorystructure about the relationship of wives and husbands can be outlined under theresearches on the literatures of traditional and modern relationship of wives andhusbands, which is contained four parts: the family income, the power in the family,the emotion and the marriage. Thirdly, according to the data from the research onthe left-behind wives of Cheng Du, the left-behind wives can be depicted from thefour aspects. Fourthly, the traits of relationship between the left-behind wives andhusbands can be depicted。The following are the features of the left-behind wives and their husbands;first, the left-behind wives are poor who have to depend on their husbands. Secondly,the wives have gotten the same power as the man in the family with low abilities onconsumer. Thirdly, their emotion is good, however, some left-behind wives are anxiousabout their emotion. Fourthly, the marriage is stable. The left-behind wives areinitiative in maintaining the stable of their marriage.
