The Evaluation Of Implementation And Effectiveness Of Marriage Relationship Enhancement Program

Guided by the professional theory and service concept of social work,this study is based on the study and discussion of the program of "Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Programme"(hereinafter referred to as PREP)developed by Markman,an American scholar.In combination with the social and cultural environment in China and the basic characteristics and needs of husband-wife relationship,this study developed a localized marriage relationship education program suitable for domestic couples to participate in.Through social recruitment,the individual participation group and the partner co-participation group respectively carried out the work of marriage relationship education groups aiming at the improvement of partnership quality and skills.Through the experimental design method,the intervention effect of marriage relationship education group work is explained,and the service effect is verified through the process evaluation and the outcome evaluation.Meanwhile,reflections and suggestions are put forward for the improvement of marriage relationship education program and the promotion of the project.The main results of this study are as follows:First,after the localization and revision of the PREP program,the marriage relationship education program in this study was divided into three sections: "communication cognition","communication skills" and "emotional expression".More experiential activities are added to meet the needs of improving the relationship between husband and wife,and the leader's manual and participant's manual guiding the implementation of the project are formed,which are feasible and operable,and facilitate the further promotion of the project.Second,a six-week relationship education group involving 11 individuals and five couples achieved the desired results:(1)The marriage relationship enhancement program in this study had a significant effect on improving the relationship quality and communication and problem solving skills of the partners.After the group work,the score of the relationship post-test of the experimental group is significantly higher than that of the pre-test,while there is no significant change in the control group.(2)In this study,both the quantitative and qualitative evaluation of the marriage relationship education program can demonstrate its feasibility,effectiveness and universality,and all the program themes can show that they have achieved good results and achieved the activity objectives in the process of evaluation.(3)The content of marriage relationship education program meets the needs of participants,and the form of group activities strengthens the effect of the activities.On the whole,participants' participation expectations were met,which effectively promoted the participants' in-depth understanding of themselves,their lovers and their relationships.At the level of communication cognition,it can give early warning to the devil's dialogues and signals in communication.At the level of communication skills,participants changed ineffective communication methods,practiced and used communication skills in real life,and created fun with their partners.At the level of emotional expression,participants can consciously pay attention to the partner's deep needs and love language,express love in a targeted way,preserve love,increase the protective factors in intimate relationships,and achieve the ultimate goal of improving relationship quality and skills.Third,this study provides suggestions on the future research and promotion of marriage relationship education programs:(1)In future research,the differences between marriage relationship education and marriage counseling and marriage therapy in the service provider,theservice recipient and the form of service delivery should be more clearly distinguished.Continue to improve the marriage relationship education program,further develop the marriage counseling program,and supplement the follow-up survey on the effect of the program to prove the long-term effect of the marriage relationship enhancement program and explore how to enhance the long-term effect.(2)In terms of project promotion,it is suggested that relevant policies can be issued at the policy level to guarantee and encourage couples or newly married couples to receive professional marriage relationship education services.At the same time,the marriage relationship enhancement program information package can be issued at the marriage registration office of the civil affairs bureau to enhance the publicity of marriage relationship education and form a correct understanding of marriage relationship education at the public level.Furthermore,at the level of social work,this study has developed a set of detailed marriage relationship education program leader's handbook,on which social work organizations can enhance the training of social workers and establish a hierarchical marriage service system.Taking the community as the service base,social workers carry out marriage relationship education activities that community couples can participate in,and also develop online marriage relationship education courses,so as to form a situation that all the people can accept professional marriage relationship education,so that they can have stable partnership and happy family life.
