Mathematical modeling is the accomplishment of abstracting realistic problems mathematically,expressing problems with mathematical language and constructing models to solve problems with mathematical methods.It is the ability of students to connect the real world with mathematical disciplines,to apply what they have learned,to solve practical problems,and to adapt to the requirements of the development of the times.With the six core qualities of mathematics put forward,mathematical modeling qualities have received more attention.The process of mathematical modeling cannot be separated from the translation of mathematical language,understanding and discrimination,transfer reasoning and reflection,so these mathematical reading abilities will have an impact on the level of mathematical modeling literacy.The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between high school students' mathematical reading ability and mathematical modeling literacy.According to the research conclusion,some suggestions are put forward on how to improve high school students' mathematical modeling literacy.This research adopts the method of empirical research,carries on the mathematics reading ability test and the mathematics modeling literacy test to the two high school senior high school students,analyzes the different grades,the different gender,the different school senior high school students mathematics reading ability and the mathematics modeling literacy condition and the difference,as well as the correlation between the two,the research result is as follows:(1)The general situation of senior high school students' mathematics reading ability is general.Among the four dimensions,the recognition reading translation dimension has the highest score,while the anti-thinking dimension has the lowest score.There is no significant difference in the overall score of mathematics reading ability between grades and schools,but there is a significant difference between boys and girls.The average score of girls is higher than that of boys.(2)The general situation of high school students' mathematical modeling literacy is general,with Level 1 scoring the highest and Level 3 scoring the lowest.There is no significant difference in the overall score of mathematical modeling literacy among grades,schools and boys and girls.(3)There is a significant positive correlation between senior high school students'mathematical reading ability and mathematical modeling literacy,and the correlation coefficient is 0.7.The four dimensions of mathematical reading ability have significant positive correlation with mathematical modeling literacy,of which the correlation coefficient between reading translation dimension and mathematical modeling literacy is 0.442,the correlation coefficient between understanding discrimination dimension and mathematical modeling literacy is 0.458,the correlation coefficient between transfer reasoning dimension and mathematical modeling literacy is 0.559,and the correlation coefficient between anti-thinking degree and mathematical modeling literacy is 0.607.There is a significant positive correlation between mathematics reading ability and three levels of mathematics modeling literacy.The correlation coefficient between mathematics reading ability and level one of mathematics modeling literacy is 0.638,the correlation coefficient between mathematics reading ability and level two of mathematics modeling literacy is 0.503,and the correlation coefficient between mathematics reading ability and level one of mathematics modeling literacy is 0.575.(4)The non-standardized linear regression equation between high school students'mathematical modeling literacy and mathematical reading ability is:The score of mathematical modeling literacy test paper=0.613×the score of mathematical reading ability test paper-0.573The non-standardized multiple linear regression equation between high school students' mathematical modeling literacy and mathematical reading ability is as follows:Mathematics modeling accomplishment score=0.127× recognition reading translation dimension score+0.149×understanding discrimination dimension score+0.286x transfer reasoning dimension score+0.359×reverse thinking dimension score...
