An important feature of physics is that any knowledge of physics,whether it is a fact,phenomenon,concept,a physical quantity or a theory,involves the following three basic factors: experiment,physics thought and mathematics.The three dimensional goals of “process and method" in Standard for Ordinary High School Physics Course,mention specifically the requirement of the ability to applying mathematics.The physics exam outline of the college entrance examination also explicitly put forward the ability of applying mathematical tools to dealing with physical problems.To answer the physics questions in the college entrance examination cannot leave the mathematics knowledge and method.To examine the ability of putting mathematics knowledge into use by means of the physical knowledge is the eternal theme of physics examination in the college entrance examination.Through consulting a large number of references,the author studied the association of physics learning and mathematical knowledge in high school with the method of questionnaire survey from the perspective of high school students to help the teachers and students to further understand the relationship between physics and mathematics.Physics theory research and application should be conducted with the help of mathematical method.To improve the students' ability of applying mathematics knowledge to the solution of physical problems,the author put forward the following strategies: first of all students are required to accurately grasp the physical knowledge and the mathematics knowledge to be well prepared for further study;secondly,the curriculum is supposed to engage the cohesion of physical and mathematical knowledge;finally,the high school physics teachers are to permeate mathematical thought and methods to students,attach importance to the combination of physics teaching and mathematics teaching,so as to achieve the purpose of improving students' ability of applying mathematics thought to the solution of physical problems.A lot of mathematical knowledge and methods can be used in learning physics and solving physical problems in high school,typically image method,limit method,triangle function,micro element method,geometric method,quadratic function,analogymethod and inductive method.The students in the process of solving physics problems,due to the influence of physical thinking fixed,even if the mind has mathematical knowledge and methods,applications can not be flexible and suitable.The process of solving physics problems is the use of physical principle and mathematical calculus,teachers have the deep consciousness in the process of teaching,strengthen students' awareness in learning in the process,pay attention to the cultivation of students' ability of solving physics problems,stimulate students' interest in learning physics,improve physical performance.At the same time learn mathematics knowledge accuracy,the advantages of logic,in the knowledge of mathematics and physics when the organic combination of disciplines,the abstract thinking ability,logical reasoning ability and Dialectical thinking ability has also been the corresponding training,they will be engaged in scientific research in the future,has an important guiding role in the cultivation of innovative ability.
