In recent years,many psychological researchers have conducted in-depth research on the relationship between human quantitative processing ability and mathematical ability.For example,some scholars have found that there is a correlation between children's sense of spatial quantity and mathematical ability,and that there is a difference in the ability of space quantity perception among different groups.However,most of the previous studies focused on the capacity and accuracy of small-quantity processing.Based on the previous studies,this paper defines the concept of the processing precision of small numerosity enumeration,combines the two dimensions of space and time,and explores the space-time dimension.Correlation between small number of machining accuracy and mathematical ability.In Study 1,a small amount of space processing was used as the research object,andthe time interval was adjusted at different levels of the number of distractions,so that the subjects reported the number of targets.Explore the correlation between the accuracy of small space machining and the number of distractions;and whether there is a correlation between the accuracy of small space machining and mathematical ability.In Study 2,a small amount of time was used as the research object,and the number of distractors was adjusted at different time intervals to make the subjects report the number of targets.Explore the correlation between the accuracy of small time processing and the number of distractions;and whether there is a correlation between the accuracy of small time processing and mathematical ability.Finally,combined with the analysis and comparison of Study 1 and Study 2,explore whether there is a mutual adjustment effect between time and space on the processing of small quantities,and whether there is an asymmetry between the two adjustments.The practical significance of this study has two aspects:on the one hand,it can provide new experimental evidence for the theory of cross dimensional interaction between time and space numbers;on the other hand,the research method of this experiment can be applied to the measurement of primary school students' mathematical ability and the screening and diagnosis of children with mathematical learning disabilities.
