In 2019,the Ministry of Education's "Deepening the Reform of Undergraduate Education and Teaching and Comprehensively Improving the Quality of Talent Cultivation" requires students to be the center,guide students to read more,think deeply,ask questions,practice hard,and stimulate students' learning potential and interest.In order to improve the quality of education and teaching in all aspects of personnel training,it is particularly important to study and improve the quality of education and teaching from the perspective of student learning and engagement.This research is based on the research input of students from two local undergraduate colleges in northern Shaanxi.It is mainly based on the existing research results and the analysis framework of NSSE-CHINA research method to investigate and study the learning input of the two local undergraduate colleges.Through the analysis of the survey data on the learning input of the two colleges and universities,the students' learning input problems were found,and the existing problems were analyzed.According to the reasons to put forward corresponding improvement strategies,which hope to provide more useful help for the improvement of learning input of undergraduate colleges in northern Shaanxi or other places.Through carefully analysis of the questionnaires and interview results,this study found that the main problems of current students' investment in local undergraduate colleges in northern Shaanxi are as follows: students' low learning challenge,low level of cooperative learning,poor frequency of student-teacher interaction and educational experience,and lack of support for the campus environment created by colleges and universities for student learning input.After a comprehensive analysis,this study believes that the main reasons for these problems are: lower academic requirements,lackof cooperative learning of students,neither teachers nor students attach importance to educational interactions,students' insufficient understanding of educational experience,and the school's practice activities are relatively monotonous and less constructive engagement in schools.Through the reasons for the problems,combined with relevant theories and experience,this study analyzes and proposes the corresponding strategies to improve the learning engagement of local undergraduate colleges in northern Shaanxi from the perspective of students and institutions.From the perspective of students themselves,one is to guide students to improve their academic requirements,and the other is to enhance their own learning ability.From the perspective of colleges and universities,one is to improve students' academic challenges;the other is to cultivate students' cooperation and support student-teacher interaction;the third is to enrich the scope of students' learning activities and enhance the appeal of campus activities;the fourth is to strengthen investment and create good campus learning environment.
