Recently, our government is paying close attention to the construction of modern vocational education system and quality of higher vocational education. Student development as a part of evaluation higher vocational education quality in the Higher Vocational Education Quality Annual Report, the report which is published from 2012 by Shanghai Academy of Educational Sciences and Mycos.This paper is based on the view of student development and Community College Survey of Student Engagement(CCSSE). After acculturation of CCSSE, there is becoming CCEES-China, then pretest to examine CCSSE-China’s reliability and validity. Fine reliability and validity confirm CCSSE-China can be applied to our local applied education students.This study selected a local applied university(J University) to conduct student engagement survey. According to the comparison of three-year college students, undergraduate students after graduating from junior college and undergraduate students in five indicators and main education sectors,we can diagnose disparities among the three types. Also, there are several phenomena and problems in the educational process.1.J University has the burden of most family’s first generation college students education; 2.There is no difference between undergraduate students after graduating from junior college and undergraduate students in reality; 3.During the three years, three-year college students developed very well, the indicators have been enhanced; 4. Three-year college students’ s ability and attitude of learning should be improved; 5.There is deficiency in undergraduate students, and students are not satisfied with school support and school satisfaction; 6.Career education is also should be strengthen. In response to these phenomena and problems, I discussed with reflection and made recommendations.
