"Adaptation" is not only a dynamic process,which will occur with the change of the environment,but also a psychological state,which is a balanced reaction between the body and the environment.In the process of human development,there will be many changes.Accordingly,adapting to these changes is the necessary process of life.The freshmen in the first grade of junior high school are mostly at the age of11-14 years old.They are facing the situation of rapid physiological development and immature psychological development.In the new learning stage of junior high school,facing the changes of school environment,interpersonal relationship,students and teachers,curriculum,learning methods and self-care ability,students may lead to the conflict of self-identity and role confusion,which leads to the development of crisis situation.Compared with the day school,the boarding junior high school students have less free time and less interaction time with their families and peers.That is to say,the new school changes more greatly,and they can't get the company and support from their families and peers in time,which is more likely to cause the problem of school maladjustment.Taking Y boarding middle school as an example,this study investigated 856 students in 16 classes in the first grade of Y middle school.It was found that the school adaptation problems of Y middle school boarding freshmen are mainly manifested in interpersonal relationship adaptation,academic adaptation,emotional adaptation,collective life adaptation and so on.The survey results show that the students' emotional adaptation is the best,the interpersonal adaptation is the second,the learning adaptation is not optimistic,and the general life adaptation whichassessments based on the emotional adaptation and interpersonal adaptation is average.Freshmen's school adaptation issues affect their future and development,so require the attention and help of schools,families,and society to guide them to better adapt to the new learning stage.In addition,according to the measurement and evaluation of the questionnaire survey,a group of potential service objects faced with school adaptation problems are screened out.Xiaoyu is one of them.In the process of integration of Y middle school,there are cognitive and behavioral responses such as "inattention","insomnia","crying",etc.,which are in the development crisis situation of entering school(junior high school)and need professional Social work intervention services.Social worker uses "accompany" as the service concept,linking schools,families and other forces to help the client solves problems through specific methods such as talks,life education classes,and experiential campus activities.While assisting the client to build a two-way interactive accompany system,it also encourages the client to discover her own abilities and potential,learn the skills and methods of junior high school learning,and develop interpersonal skills,so as to adapt to the new life of junior high school and develop himself.
