Since 2012,the Ministry of Education of China and the Central Government issued a series of documents to train the general teachers of primary school,which provided a policy basis for the transition of training issues of general teacher,such as "'a multi-functional rural teacher'," "highquality teachers who can go down,stay and do well "and" excellent primary school teachers who love elementary education,have broad knowledge,are comprehensive ability and competent to serve the needs of multi-disciplinary education in primary schools.”The latest document positions general teachers of primary school as outstanding type.It can be seen that general teachers in primary schools are education professionals who are familiar with the knowledge and skills of multiple disciplines.They are able to undertake the task of multi-disciplinewhile intergrating one discipline as the core and implementing interdisciplinary teaching.The prerequisite for interdisciplinary teaching is that general subject teachers can engage in multi-disciplinary education and teaching.How to effectively implement interdisciplinary teaching requires specific directions.Therefore,it is an inevitable requirement to pay attention to the evaluation index system of interdisciplinary teaching ability of primary school general teachers.General teachers' interdisciplinary teaching ability is based on the understanding and self-recognition of interdisciplinary teaching and the understanding of interdisciplinary learners.Teachers choose a subject as the center and integrate multiple subjects' knowledge,theories and methods,in order to indicate the comprehensive ability that emerges from instructional design,implementation,and evaluation of referred theme.However,there is relatively little research on the interdisciplinary teaching ability of primary school general teachers.Therefore,this research regards interdisciplinary teaching as a complete teaching process,combining relevant education theories,document policies,and existed literature researches,which constructs four firstlevel indicators of interdisciplinary teaching ability through expert consultation method.They are specificlly interdisciplinary teaching cognitive ability,interdisciplinary teaching design ability,interdisciplinary teaching implementation ability,and interdisciplinary teaching evaluation ability;ten second-level indicators are ability to self-cognition of interdisciplinary teaching,ability to understand interdisciplinary teaching,ability to understand interdisciplinary learners,set interdisciplinary teaching goals,integrate interdisciplinary teaching content,design interdisciplinary teaching processes,organize interdisciplinary teaching activities,monitor interdisciplinary teaching activities,evaluate interdisciplinary learning,reflect on interdisciplinary teaching,and several three-level indicators of its subordinates.Then,the weight of each index is determined by the logarithmic weighting method.Finally,the weight of index system of the interdisciplinary teaching ability of primary school general teachers is determined.The specific content of this study includes the following five parts:The first part discusses the statement of problem from three aspects: the trend of international teacher education reform,the requirements for the construction of teachers in the new era in China,and the professional development of general teachers;the research significance is explained from the theoretical and practical sides;the existing relevant literature results are combed and discussed,in order that the theoretical basis and research design of this study were given.The second part mainly discusses the connotation and characteristics of interdisciplinary teaching ability of general teachers in primary schools,aiming to clarify such issues as "what the meaning of ‘general teachers' is.”And "what their interdisciplinary teaching ability is ".According to the analysis of the concepts of "general teachers in primary schools","interdisciplinary teaching" and "teaching ability",the connotation and characteristics of "interdisciplinary teaching ability of general subject teachers in primary schools" were refined,due to the positioning of this research.The third part is based on the theoretical foundation,document policy and existing related research,and follows the four principles that are the purpose and objectivity,hierarchy and independence,scientificity and operability,systemicness and comprehensiveness to initially construct the index system of interdisciplinary teaching ability for primary school general teachers.Its construction result includes four first-level indicators interdisciplinary teaching cognitive ability,interdisciplinary teaching design ability,interdisciplinary teaching implementation ability,and interdisciplinary teaching evaluation and reflection ability,twelve second-level indicators and twentythree third-level indicators.The fourth part is mainly to amend the initial indicator system.This section is mainly based on the Delphi method,that is,two rounds of expert consultation.Consult the experts,and use the data to calculate the index screening thresholds,delete the indicators at all levels.Then modify or increase the content of the indicators in accordance with the experts' opinions and suggestions.Finally,the interdisciplinary teaching ability of general teachers in primary schools is divided into four first-level indicators interdisciplinary teaching cognitive ability,interdisciplinary teaching design ability,interdisciplinary teaching implementation ability,and interdisciplinary teaching evaluation and reflection ability,ten second-level indicators and twenty-three third-level indicators.In the end,the connotation of all levels of indicators in the index system of interdisciplinary teaching ability of primary school general teachers who have been constructed is specifically explained to highlight the integrity of the content of the indicators.The fifth part is to construct a weighting of index system of interdisciplinary teaching ability for general teachers of primary school.Through expert consultation,a logarithmic weighting method is used for the data results to finally determine their weight.Through the above five parts,the index system has been constructed for the interdisciplinary teaching ability of primary schools general teachers.
