The construction of college-textbook series has always been an important subject in the field of higher education,and the development of textbooks has been in a relatively lagging state since the rise of modern higher education.With the vigorous development of higher education and the promotion of educational exchanges between China and foreign countries,Chinese textbooks began to take the road of introduction.With the gradual improvement of the university system and the gradual standardization of textbook construction,China's educational academic began to develop independently,and college-textbook series began to enter the stage of independent compilation in China.Looking back on the development course of pedagogy textbooks in the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China,we can not only pursue the basic situation and context of pedagogy textbook construction from the historical point of view,but also sum up its development law,and provide some experience for the construction of contemporary university pedagogy textbooks.In the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China,the educational textbooks of our country were in the embryonic stage characterized by introduction.While advocating new education,the government and people from all walks of life recognized the importance of textbooks,and through the promulgation of a series of policies to encourage official and private publishing institutions to independently compile textbooks and develop educational undertakings.Thus,the development of educational textbooks in China has experienced the process from scratch,from introducing foreign textbooks to imitating foreign textbooks and trying to write independently to writing independently with Chinese characteristics.Through the use of literature analysis,historical research and comparative research,this paper mainly combs the course of the development of pedagogy textbooks in the late Qing Dynasty and Republic of China,analyzes the specific situation of the college-textbook series,and summarizes its characteristics and existing problems,in order to provide useful reference for the current construction of higher education textbooks.The text consists of four parts:The first part combs the development course of the educational textbooks of the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China from the macroscopic angle.Looking back on the development course of modern pedagogy textbooks,the textbooks have experienced the evolution course of introducing,imitating and going to Sinicization.Through combing the development course of pedagogy textbooks in this period,this paper summarizes its development law and characteristics,and leads to the background of the times of publication and distribution of “College-Textbook Series”.The second part mainly from the meso-level analysis of the preparation of the college-textbook series of the premise and proof.First,the selection and organization of candidates for the College-Textbook Series Committee are analyzed and discussed.From the planning to the establishment of the College-Textbook Series Committee,the number of candidates from scratch was finally determined to be 55;secondly,the evolution of the College-Textbook Series Catalogue during this period was discussed from the perspective of the development and development of the College-Textbook Series Catalogue.The College-Textbook Series Catalogue has gone from the initial collection of university subjects to the mid-term Draft College-Textbook Series to the final College-Textbook Series Catalogue,which has been identified and published after several discussions and amendments.The establishment of the Catalogue of College-Textbook Series also establishes the basic framework for the collection and publication of manuscripts of college-textbook series;finally,it analyzes the collection and review of manuscripts of college-textbook series.There are three kinds of manuscripts in the college-textbook series: the earlier publication by the commercial press,the recommendation by the university from the experts of the book committee,and the contract from the commercial press to the domestic experts.The review of the manuscript is based on the academic director of each member.Review has strict procedures,adhering to the spirit of science,for academic,not professional manuscripts,not approved,will not eventually be published as a college-textbook series.The third part is to analyze the educational textbooks which have been reviewed by the college-textbook series and published as the college-textbook series.First,from the content,characteristics and value orientation of the educational textbooks,the connotation and value of the college-textbook series educational textbooks are deeply analyzed.The fourth part is mainly to reflect on and summarize the textbooks ofcollege-textbook series pedagogy,to question and criticize the early stage of college-textbook series publication,to reflect on the deficiency of college-textbook series publication,and to obtain the enlightenment of contemporary college-textbook textbook construction from it.
