| The track and field sports meet in colleges and universities is an important work content stipulated in the regulations on school sports work,an important window for showing the effect of school sports work,and also an important medium for spreading the campus sports culture,at least once a year,the track and field sports meet has become a necessary link in the university sports work.The university track and field sports meeting was once a happy event for university teachers and students,and was a beautiful scenery of the university.But somewhere along the line,something changed.The Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center has been in existence for more than a decade and has had a great impact throughout the country.This paper studies the development and changes of the track and field games in some colleges and universities in Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center,holds the characteristics of the changes and the present situation of the students' participation,probes into the problems encountered in the development of the track and field games,and analyzes the reasons,the proposed reform measures can provide theoretical and practical reference for the reform of track and field games in Guangdong colleges and universities.By using the methods of Literature Review,Questionnaire Survey,field investigation and mathematical statistics,a survey was conducted among teachers and students of South China University of Technology,National Sun Yat-sen University,South China Normal University,Guangdong University of Technology,Xinghai Conservatory of Music,Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and Guangzhou University in Guangzhou City.The main research contents include: the basic situation of the track and Field Games held in 8 colleges and universities in Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center;the development and changes of the track and Field Games held in 8 colleges and universities in Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center;A survey on the participation of students in track and field sports in eight universities of Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center.The conclusions are as follows:(1)the track and field games in Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center colleges and universities are held mainly in the fall,on Fridays and weekends;half of the colleges and universities hold the students' track and Field Games together with the FUN Games for the staff;There are few team events,endurance and throwing events,which lack originality.The actual number of participants is not large.(2)development and Change: colleges,schools,teachers and students,from top to bottom in order of importance;students' low sense of honor,less contact between teachers and students,more leadership,college pressure is the main reason.The atmosphere of the closing ceremony and the changes in the ceremony were obviously weakened,the opening ceremony was large in scale,but the enthusiasm of all parties was not well mobilized,the form of the ceremony was monotonous and the interaction was insufficient;the number of student referees increased obviously,and the number of volunteers or logistics personnel did not change much,the decrease of the student audience is the most obvious,the disparity of the athletes' strength is great,and the number of students who don't want to participate is increasing.College organization is weak,the students' collective sense of honor is reduced or affected by other factors is the fundamental reason.The number of events decreased,and the most popular events were jumping,sprint and relay.There were significant differences inathletic performance,such as tight competition time schedule,conflict between competing schedule,poor competition atmosphere,less publicity,less collectivism spirit and fighting spirit.(3)student participation in track and field events at Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center: Students are divided into athletes,referees,volunteers and support staff,spectators,and students who do not participate at all.Athletes showed positive,hard work,referees are mostly Sports Department(college)dispatch,volunteers and logistics personnel high enthusiasm,a few students as spectators,most students do not participate at all.The main reasons for students not participating in the Games are lack of interest points to attract students,not strong competition atmosphere,poor athletes' physical quality,poor sports skills and poor sports results,which are not related to academic achievements and extra points Most of the students are easily influenced by other factors,their will is not firm,their collective consciousness is gradually weak,the cohesion of the class is reduced,their sense of dedication is weakened,they emphasize their own vital interests,and they are not willing to participate in the track and field games.In response to the changes of the sports meeting,the countermeasures to encourage students to participate in:(1)to enhance the importance of the sports meeting in schools,the inclusion of students added points in Physical Education;(3)strengthen the on-line and off-line propaganda,make use of the star effect of the star athletes,improve the participation rate of the students in the track and field games;(4)carry out the multi-aspect development of the track and field games,etc.. |
