Child communication plays a vital role in children's psychological development and character building.The effectiveness of parent-child commmunication directly affects the growth of children's physical and mental health.For elementary school students,it is a special period of transition from school age to adolescence,a critical period for the development of self-awareness and self-behavior,and a period where parent-child communication is prone to problems.This article relies on the urban distressed child protection plan launched by the XH social worker agency in city A.It selects a child in the family stage who is in elementary school and is struggling because of a single parent and father who is seriously ill.The professional method of case counseling is used to help solve the internal family parent-child miscommunication issues.The author estimates the status of parent-child communication through interviews and questionnaires,finds problems in parent-child communication and explores the reasons.According to estimates,the following typical problems have appeared in parent-child communication: parent-child miscommunication attitudes,the two sides lack the ability to resolve conflicts,and lack parent-child communication skills;the communication initiative is low,and parent-child communication is not valued.According to the characteristics of parent-child communication problems,Satya's family therapy model was selected as a guide,and targeted interventions were combined with specific problems.After a series of case counseling treatments,the author successfully helped the child and his father solve the communication problems,focused on correcting the bad communication attitudes between the parents and children,learnd and masterd the skills of benign parent-child communication,and enhanced parent-child communication.Initiative,parents and children can already communicate with each other equally.On the premise of assessing the effect of treatment,summarize and reflect on the development of case counseling.
