PAD class is a new teaching mode which was created at the beginning for the classroom problems in universities.The appearance of PAD class has injected fresh blood into biology teaching.Biology in junior high school is a subject with strong theoretical knowledge and also with strong practice.On the one hand,the effect of biology classroom teaching in junior high school depends on the teaching methods used by teachers and content,on the other hand,it depends on the enthusiasm and participation of students in learning.However,it is common for many students,especially those in the mountainous areas,to memorize biology as a memory subject by rote.They have low interest in learning biology and lack of initiative.Therefore,it is necessary to study the influence of the teaching mode of "PAD class" on the participation of biology class of junior middle school students in Northwest Guangdong.This paper adopts literature research,questionnaire survey,interview,action research and observation.Based on the research background of the PAD class teaching model,this paper defines the core concepts of PAD class and students' participation and discusses the theoretical basis,selected 3 cases.The experimental group was taught in PAD class mode while the control group was taught in a traditional class mode for one semester.To understand the current situation of junior middle school students' participation in PAD class,we carried out a questionnaire survey to enhance students' participation by PAD class,conducted interviews with students of different levels and teachers with different teaching experiences and age levels to find out the problems of teaching management by PAD class,and tries to analyze the causes of the problems.This paper puts forward three strategies to improve the participation of behavior participation,cognitive participation and emotional participation,which provides a reference for junior high school biology teachers to improve the participation of junior high school students in biology cla ss based on the PAD class teaching model.The results show that: After implementing PAD class teaching(1)students' participation in the final class is higher than that at the beginning of the semester;compared with the traditional classroom model,the PAD class model improves students' enthusiasm to participate in biology class;(2)students' language expression ability was improved;(3)students' speculative ability was greatly enhanced;(4)change the way students study;(5)improve their academic performance;(6)Promote the development of teachers' ability.This paper makes some suggestions from three aspects to improve students 'participation in class: Teachers should stress the important and difficult points,and the language should be refined;The teacher should set up the content of the course to teach pertinently;he can introduce the subject of biology in various ways,with novel subject matter,or with the case that the students are interested in.In the form of biology class according to the co ntent of appropriate music or talk about some of the biological interesting experiments,so as to increase students 'interest in the biology class and other specific recommendations.
