With the rapid development of science and technology in today's world,society is increasingly demanding students' ability.Critical thinking has become one of the necessary abilities for talents in the new century to improve their adaptability and competitiveness.Therefore,how to cultivate students' criticality in teaching Thinking ability has become an urgent problem to be solved in educational research.Based on the relevant theoretical research on critical thinking and concept maps,this paper cultivates students' critical thinking ability by constructing the teaching mode of concept maps in the new teaching of biology class,in order to provide students with theoretical and critical thinking skills.Practice foundation.Conducted a survey on the status of critical thinking skills of some students in the first grades of 5 schools in Guangzhou,and set up a questionnaire to survey the status of critical thinking cultivation of some biology teachers,and the results were obtained:(1)The critical thinking ability of students is generally at a moderately weak level,and there is no significant difference in gender in critical thinking;(2)More than 80% of teachers believe that it is feasible and important to cultivate students' critical thinking in classroom teaching;90% of teachers have used concept map teaching,of which nearly 70% of teachers believe that concepts Picture teaching can cultivate students' critical thinking;(3)Teachers' enthusiasm for developing students' critical thinking ability is not high,which is mainly affected by factors such as schools,teachers themselves,and students.Combining the above results,a teaching model for constructing concept maps to cultivate students' critical thinking in the new biology course was established and put into practice to understand the changes in students' critical thinking before and after implementation.The results show that:(1)After the experiment,compared with before the experiment,the students' critical thinking is significantly improved.Among them,the analytical skills,curiosity,self-confidence,and cognitive maturity are significantly improved,while seeking truth,openness,and systemicness.The aspect has been improved but the effect is not significant;(2)When comparing the critical thinking ability of the experimental class and the control class after the experiment,the results show that the teaching method of constructing the concept map can effectively improve the critical thinking ability of the students,while the conventional teaching has improved the criticalthinking ability The effect is not significant;(3)The construction of concept maps in the new biology lesson has a good operability in training students' critical thinking,and the training effect is also obvious.In short,the cultivation of high school students' critical thinking requires the cooperation of schools,teachers,and students.In future teaching,it is recommended to improve the teaching mode of constructing biological concept maps to cultivate students' critical thinking.
