"General Senior High School Biology Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition)" proposes that "the fundamental task of the biology curriculum is to improve the core literacy of the biology discipline required for the lifelong development of students." The cultivation of core literacy in biology has become a hotspot in the study of biology.Modeling teaching strategies are currently generally considered to help students improve their core literacy in biology,but core literacy-based modeling teaching research is not complete and systematic.Therefore,this article expects to achieve the purpose of implementing core literacy by applying modeling teaching to high school biology teaching and analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of its application.In this study,a questionnaire survey was conducted on 2756 students and 100 teachers in 21 high schools in various regions of Chongqing to understand the current status of high school biology modeling teaching.Then,by carrying out a semester of teaching practice,the effect of modeling teaching in high school biology teaching is analyzed.The current survey results show that the overall average score of the current status of the high school biological modeling teaching survey is 2.89,which is at a general level,indicating that the work of high school biological modeling teaching needs to be strengthened.The scores of students of different grades and genders are in the same interval,so the status of high school biological modeling teaching is not much different.From the perspective of different school types,students directly under the municipal school are superior to students of the other two types of schools in terms of core biological literacy and judgment of their own modeling ability.Judging from the area where the school is located,the core literacy of biology in the northeast and southeast regions lags slightly behind other regions,which may be caused by the uneven distribution of educational resources.(1)In terms of biological models and modeling attitudes,teachers and students have a positive attitude towards modeling teaching activities,but teachers do not have enough understanding of the core literacy of biology,and there are few summaries about the contents of models and modeling in textbooks.Knowledge about modeling is lacking.(2)In terms of the basic situation of biology classroom modeling teaching,teachers and students have a certain degree of understanding of models and modeling,but the modeling teaching process needs to be improved,especially to clarify the purpose of modeling,evaluate the models constructed by students,and help students modify models The link of the urgent need to be strengthened.(3)The cultivation of core biological literacy is poor.Some teachers do not cultivate students' core literacy awareness in biology teaching.Among the four dimensions of core literacy,students are generally literate in terms of life concepts,scientific thinking and social responsibility,and the current status of the cultivation of scientific inquiry ability is the least optimistic.(4)For the judgment of their own modeling ability,students do not understand the modeling theory and think it is more difficult to carry out modeling activities.Teachers are familiar with modeling theory,but believe that it is difficult to guide students to carry out modeling activities.The most important thing is to improve the ability of guiding modeling and the application of different models.(5)In terms of attribution of the current status of modeling teaching,the biggest difficulty encountered by students is insufficient knowledge of modeling theory,and believes that the use of multimedia display models is the most effective way to help students improve their modeling capabilities.The main difficulties encountered by teachers include the lack of relevant model construction materials,laboratory space,and inability to coordinate well with the teaching progress,and believe that extensive inquiry and cooperative learning,strengthening training related to biological modeling capabilities,as much as possible Developing biological model resources is an effective way to help students improve their modeling ability.The results of educational practice show that through the implementation of educational practice in practice schools,it is found that the implementation of modeling teaching in high school biology teaching has a certain effect on improving students 'learning attitudes,strengthening peer relationships and cultivating students' core literacy in biology.Among them,the three dimensions of "peer relationship","scientific thinking" and "scientific inquiry" have the best results,and there are very significant differences;the four dimensions of "learning interest","life concept" and "social responsibility" Good,there are significant differences;but the two dimensions of "teacher-student relationship" and "learning performance" are not obvious,and further research is needed.In response to the above conclusions,the author puts forward the following suggestions on how to optimize the teaching of high school biology modeling.(1)School level: Provide systematic training for teachers,strengthen relevant teaching method guidance,cooperate with neighboring universities to improve teachers' scientific literacy and teaching level;The laboratories and materials required for modeling increase the opportunities for students to practice and experience;help teachers coordinate teaching progress and appropriately increase the hours of modeling.(2)Suggestions for teachers: dig out modeling teaching resources in textbooks,read relevant professional books and browse online literature,improve theoretical level,and innovate instructional design;focus on reflection and summary of teaching;strengthen external exchanges and cooperation;integrate knowledge points Features,choose the expression of the model that students like;designing more operable modeling activity assignments requires students to work more and think from practice.
