Scientific thinking is one of the core qualities of biology put forward in the Biology Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools(2017 edition).It is the basic requirement of carrying out "cultivating people by virtue" and cultivating talents.It is also an indispensable thinking and decision-making ability for individuals.In this study,the teaching strategies of model and modeling are applied in teaching practice,and their practical effects are analyzed and discussed,in order to provide reference for front-line teachers to cultivate students' scientific thinking ability.Firstly,this study defines the relevant concepts with the method of literature research,and determines the entry point.Through questionnaires,this paper investigates the current situation of the scientific thinking ability of the first-year high school students in Shanxi Province,and draws the conclusion that the students' scientific thinking ability is weak and imperfect,and they generally need to be trained.Thereafter,the researcher chooses appropriate knowledge points to carefully design the teaching,and chooses the control class and the experimental class in the first grade of the internship school.The students of the two classes are surveyed on the status quo of scientific thinking ability and the biological achievement respectively,and the pre-test data are obtained.After one semester's practical teaching,the students' scientific thinking ability and biological achievements were evaluated and investigated,and the data were analyzed.It was found that the trained students could learn the biological knowledge in Molecules and Cells based on biological knowledge,with the help of model modeling,in the form of schema,induction and generalization.Through the analysis of the results of classroom teaching,it is found that theclassroom teaching which can promote students' scientific thinking has the following characteristics: classroom content should combine macro-material with micro-text;classroom content should be coherent;classroom content presentation should be supported by evidence.According to the conclusion,teaching suggestions are put forward: selecting appropriate models and modeling strategies to optimize classroom teaching;using appropriate teaching strategies to cultivate interest in learning and activate thinking;guiding students to practice in classroom teaching;using teaching strategies to cultivate students' scientific thinking ability in classroom teaching;teachers need to grasp various ways to cultivate scientific thinking ability.
