Western Rationalist Ideas Of University

The reason originated in the logos and nous of the ancient Greece.While the concept of reason has gone through the Millennium Development,the core content of the rationality of Lagos and Nous is always the base of the rational concept.In the sacred civilization of the Middle Ages,God has become an embodiment of the integration of Logos and Nous.In the 17 th century,Descartes put forward the modern philosophy principle of the "I think so,I'm here.",and released the subjectivity of human beings from the dependence of God.After Descartes,the three critical criticism of Kant thought of reason,and thought that the rational of man was the criterion of all.The ability to act under certain rules of conduct(principles of practice)that do not involve the needs or concerns of actors as perceptual beings ".Hegel organically unified the two aspects of reason(logos and nous)by "absolute reason ",and regarded" absolute reason "as the soul of the world,which is the inner and essence of the world.Hegel developed the tradition of rationalism and the esteem of reason since ancient Greece to the climax of history,and reason became a new God in people's hearts.Rationalism with reason as the core is the most critical and core philosophical key-stone in modern western universities.The western university model is the parent of modern Chinese universities and an important reference for the development of Chinese universities today.By using the method of literature research,historical analysis and critical method of Marxist philosophy,this paper analyzes the evolution of western rationalist university idea and discusses the crisis and risk of it.It is found that the rationalist ideas of university has experienced the ancient Greek rationalist idea of university,the Anglo-French enlightenment rationalist idea of university,the German classical rationalist idea of university and the recent rationalist idea of university.The evolution of the idea of university guides the university from "the embryonic university in conception" to "the university as the weapon of enlightenment","the university under the rule of rational authority" and then to "the rationalistic university of struggle".The rationalist ideas of university is characterized by the pursuit of "rational" university and its mission,the pursuit of "science" university academic and the pursuit of "self" university education.However,with the exposure of rationalism crisis,the crisis of the rationalist ideas of university can not be hidden.The supreme position of reason is actually metaphysics,the one-sided development of reason has brought about the alienation of university academic and university education.
