A Study On The Sixth Grade Literacy Of Primary School Students

Literacy as one of the basic learning ability is highly concerned in today's society,but the popularization of intelligent information technology has weakened people's enthusiasm for literacy to a certain extent,it brings a certain challenge to the standard literacy and the formation of literacy ability.This paper investigates the current situation of the literacy of the sixth-grade pupils in three schools in Zhangzhou,the district and the countryside by means of questionnaire survey and practice observation,the questionnaire includes five aspects related to students' literacy cognition,literacy habit,literacy skills,literacy accumulation and literacy teaching in their schools.Combined with the statistical analysis of the questionnaire data,the following conclusions are drawn: 1.On the whole,the literacy of primary school students is the best in the city,the second in the district,and the weaker in the countryside.2.The common problem of the literacy ability of pupils belonging to cities,districts and rural areas mainly lies in the weak mastery of literacy skills.Rural students in the accumulation of literacy problems outstanding,affecting academic performance;4.There are obvious differences in literacy teaching and home-school guidance between urban and rural areas.Based on the relevant theories of pupils' physical and mental development,the author probes into the influencing factors of pupils' literacy ability,including internal factors and external factors.Finally,linking the findings of the current situation of primary school literacy,the factors that affect primary school literacy,and the innovation of the current compulsory education literacy textbooks,the paper puts forward different strategies to improve the literacy ability of urban primary schools and rural primary schools.In urban areas,the teaching of literacy should be carried out properly according to the reality Schools and parents in rural areas should pay more attention to the literacy of primary school students and the cultivation of literacy awareness in "pre-literacy".
