People of all ethnic groups in Hunan province have created sports games with ethnic characteristics through their diligent production and life.To meet people's needs of fitness,entertainment,social contact and life enrichment,folk sports games have shown highly cultural\,educational and social value.With the acceleration of economic globalization and social modernization,the necessary spa ce and time for people to participate in folk sports games have been reduced,and the living space of folk sports games has been further compressed by various modern recreational activities and sports modes.In the new historical period,how to make folk s ports games return to public life through innovative ways has become a social problem that needs to be solved urgently.Firstly,this paper sorts out the research of cultural ecology theory,activation theory and multicultural education theory by domest ic and foreign scholars,and summarizes the protection experience of intangible cultural heritage,especially folk sports games.Secondly,the paper investigates the spatial distribution of folk sports games in Wuling Mountain area,Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan urban agglomeration area and central and southern Hunan province through field investigation and expert interviews.The majority of inheriting ethnic groups are Han,Tujia,Miao,Yao and Dong.Thirdly,the paper points out the inheritance dilemma of fol k sports games due to the change of natural environment and social organization structure,the impact of modern technology,economic system,and the conflict of values.According to the character of Hunan folk sports game,which is a combination of,keeping fit and fun,ecological and regionality,inheritance and live condition unifies,uniqueness and sharing,the paper provides a suitable basis for its activation research.The cultural and ecological environment is the core protection concept,emphasiz ing the importance of improving the initiative and rights of the inheritance group to the activation and inheritance.Finally,combines the theory of cultural ecology and the theory of multi-cultural education,this paper puts forward the methods of activa ting and inheriting folk sports games in Hunan,which arethrough physical education to ensure the continuity of the inheritance group;enriching the forms of innovation activation through the application of emerging technologies;creating good collective memories through festival celebrations;improving the standardized development of folk sports games by holding events and activities;integrating into the tourism industry;integrate into modern life through daily activities;Use social media to spread the cultural connotation and social value of folk sports games with the times;through improving and implementing the relevant policies and regulations on the protection of traditional culture and the development of national sports,a system should be formed to ensure the sustainable inheritance of folk sports games.relying on multicultural education method,on the premise of fully respecting the national culture,promoting the preschool's home-school education,the folk inheritors walking into the classroom of primary and secondary schools and higher education stage of production-teaching-research combination layered inheritance community of cultivating high quality,so as to promote cross-cultural talent exchange,establishing students' cultural confidence.
