Since the reform and opening up,certificate-oriented adult education has played an important role in improving the national quality and national economy.However,looking back on its long-term education process,the problems of poor education quality,low educational value and low social recognition have appeared.With the development of the lifelong education system,adult higher education as an important part of the lifelong education system will receive social attention and be taken seriously,so it is imperative to improve the quality of certificate-oriented adult education.Based on the characteristics of adult education with self-regulated learning,this study proposes strategies to improve the current situation of self-regulated learning in order to improve the quality of education for certificate-oriented adult education.As the sample of this research,we investigated the current situation of self-regulated learning of student in S school and found four problems: a weak motivation and of study and negative attitude,inefficient learning strategies and lack of planning to study,significant difference in learning situation and susceptible to external causes,poor study quality and the study result is not satisfactory.According to investigation and interview the study also find out there are three reasons that led to the poor quality of self-regulated learning situation.Social related factors including lack of legal norms and low social recognition.School related factor including the teaching is highly copy from general higher education and the class is boring,the assessment method is poor and evaluation result is not comprehensive,the teaching team and professional guidance is not enough,the campus cultural atmosphere is poor and students' sense of belonging to school is weak.Personal factors including Students' basis is weak and the learning ability is poor,the self-identity is low and the motivation is meager,the metacognitive monitoring is insufficient and the learning management is poor the conflicts between work and study is prominent and the study time is without guarantee.Based on the above mentioned,this study combines the theories of pedagogy and psychology about self-regulating learning and puts forward some targeted strategies.Socially,the government should take the lead in constructing the concept of lifelong education system,improving the laws and regulations of certificate-oriented adult education and strengthen supervision and control of educational funding for certificate-oriented adult education.Schools should make a great effort to build campus culture that is suitable for the adult students,improve all aspects of the certificate-oriented adult education and optimize the structure of teachers for the certificate-oriented adult education.Students should stimulate the motivation of self-regulated learning,improve the metacognitive monitoring strategies and optimize strategies for utilizing learning resources.Only through various efforts can we improve students' self-related learning quality.
