The detection rate of overweight and obesity in children and adolescents showed an obvious increasing trend, and it has become a global public health question. The formation of obesity is related to genetic and behavioral factors such as lifestyle. To investigate the obesity status of middle school students and understand the influence of their obesity-related behaviors will play an important role in effectively alleviating and curbing the overweight obesity of teenagers. Objective: To understand the obesity status of middle school students in Wuhan,to understand the association and interaction of obesity behavior factors such as sleep, diet and physical activity, and to provide reference for the intervention of overweight and obesity in adolescents. Methods :A total of 7504 middle school students(12-18 years old)were randomly selected from 9 middle schools in Wuhan, including 4563 junior high school students(2519boys,2044 girls)and 2941 high school students(1583 boys and 1358 girls). The content of the questionnaire was designed with reference to the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index Scale(PSQI),the Chinese Adolescent Lifestyles Scale(CALS),the Physical Activity Questionnaire for Adolescents(PAQ-A),and the Sedentary Behavior Questionnaire(SBQ).The questionnaire was issued and recovered in a paper version of self-filling.The corresponding database was established from three aspects of obesity degree, sex and learning segment by SPSS23.0.The effects of different obesity factors on overweight obesity were analyzed by variance analysis and chi-square test.Correlation analysis and multi-factor logistic regression analysis were used to study the correlation between factors and the common effects on obesity.Results:1.The overweight rate and obesity rate of middle school students in wuhan were 32.0%and 17.1%,respectively,higher than the national overweight obesity rate of children and adolescents(12.2% and 7.1%).Among them, male students were 34.7% and 19.3%,while female students were 28.7% and 14.3%.The figures for middle school students were 28.5percent and 11.8 percent, and for high school students were 37.3 percent and 25.3 percent. There are also gender and academic differences.(P <0.05).2.The less the sleep time, the higher the degree of overweight and obesity(P <0.05);compared with the normal group, the overweight and obese group had more severe sleep disorders and daytime dysfunction, and the quality of conscious sleep was poor(P <0.05);the number of boys with sleep deficiency was less than that of girls, and the degree of sleep disturbance and daytime dysfunction was lower than that of girls(P <0.05);the number of high school students with less sleep was more than that of junior high school students, and the quality of conscious sleep was worse than that of junior high school students(P <0.05).3.Increased intake of fruits, vegetables and breakfasts had a significant effect on the avoidance of overweight and obesity(P <0.05).Increased intake of fish,meat,high-energy foods, milk and breakfast meals had a significant effect on aggravating overweight and obesity(P <0.05).4.The overall physical activity participation in physical education, lunch break, after school, weekends and overall had a significant effect on overweight and obesity(P <0.05);the longer the average daily static time, video games and reading time, the higher the degree of overweight and obesity(P <0.05).The number of male students who did not participate in physical activity was less than that of female students, and the number of male students whodid not participate in physical activity was longer than that of female students. However, the average static time of male students was significantly higher than that of female students(P <0.05).The number of senior high school students who do not participate in physical activity is higher than that of junior high school students.Junior high school students spend less time listening to music, reading and taking cars than senior high school students. The average static time of senior high school students is significantly higher than that of junior high school students.(P <0.05).5.High school students, boys, sleeping less than 7 hours a day on average, moderate to severe sleep disorders, eating breakfast less than 7 times a week, eating breakfast outside the home and physical education classes, not participating in physical activity after school,on weekends and during the week as a whole, were all risk factors for increasing overweight obesity.Consumption of fish and meat less than 7 times a week, sedentary time less than 7hours a day and extracurricular reading time less than 1.5 hours a day were all protective factors against overweight and obesity.Conclusion:1.The overweight and obesity rate of middle school students in Wuhan is higher than the national average, the overweight degree of boys is more serious than that of girls, and the overweight degree of high school students is more serious than that of junior high school students.2.Decreased sleep duration, required time to fall asleep, and increased sleep disorders and daytime dysfunction;the consumption of fish,high-energy food increased and more inclined to eat breakfast outside;reduced physical activity and increased time spent playing video games and reading all contribute to increased levels of obesity, with gender and academic differences.3.The average male adolescent in high school sleeps less than seven hours a day, moderate to severe sleep disorders, fish meat intake more than seven times a week and breakfast intake less than seven times a week, eating out for breakfast, not taking part in physical activity, static time more than 7 hours a day and reading more than 1.5 hours a day after school, all of which affect each other and contribute to the occurrence and aggravation of overweight obesity.
