Socially shared regulated learning refers to the process in which group members regulate with each other.It plays an essential role in ensuring the high quality of collaboration.Recently,more researchers begin to pay attention to socially shared regulated learning processes during collaborative learning,and an increasing number of studies were conducted to evaluate groups' shared regulated learning.However,there are several limitations in those studies about the the evaluation of socially shared regulated learning: lack of triangulation,low rate of data use,separation of summative and formative assessments,and neglect of group awareness.Thus,this dissertation aims to integrate social network analysis into the evaluation of socially shared regulated learning,analyze social interactions among group members,track and assess groups' shared regulated learning,help group members to be aware of their own and groups' regulation status,and add to the discussion of socially shared regulated learning evaluation from the perspective of social interactions.The main parts of this dissertation are illustrated below:(1)Reviewed studies about shared regulated learning evaluation,proposed a new evaluation framework from the perspective of social network,and designed five types of evaluation tools that help to evaluate groups' social interactions,cohesion,roles and positions,multiple relations,and multimodal relations respectively.(2)Two different cases were chosen for actual applications of the evaluation framework.Cases were illustrated in detail based on real contexts.In addition,effects were examined using social network analysis,questionnaire analysis,content analysis,and interviews,etc.This dissertation proposed a new evaluation framework from the perspective of social network,extended range of data gathering,increased data utilization rate,and reflected characteristics of shared regulated learning.Results also revealed that those tools help to evaluate groups' shared regulated learning and provide awareness information for group members.Furthermore,this dissertation also found that there was an increase of socially shared regulated learning level(collaboration,regulation,participation)in groups after using this evaluation framework.
