The promotion of China's new curriculum reform has promoted the reform of geography teaching in junior high schools.The junior high school geography curriculum standard in the first article of the curriculum concept put forward: learning is useful for life geography.The idea was put forward to require that geography teaching originated from life and was used in life.To guide students to use life examples to understand geographical phenomena,but also to use geographical knowledge to explain life phenomena,in the process to stimulate students to learn geography enthusiasm.However,the majority of teachers in rural areas still use traditional teaching methods,which also causes many students to lose interest in geography.Making rural children fall in love with geography courses is an urgent problem to be solved.In this thesis,with the requirements of the new curriculum standards and the problems existing in the geography teaching of rural junior high schools at this stage,and with the constructivism learning theory,Dewey and Tao Xingzhi's view on life,and Suhomlinsky's view of life education as the theoretical basis,the use of literature research,questionnaire survey,The classroom observation method studies the application of life in the geography teaching of rural junior high schools.Through questionnaire survey and classroom observation method,we find that there are the following problems in rural geography teaching: in addition to the region does not pay attention to geography teaching,the degree of specialization of geography teachers in rural areas is low,and children in rural areas do not have a correct understanding of geography.In view of the above problems,the specific implementation methods are put forward,and the life-based teaching is introduced into the rural geography teaching.At the end of the thesis combined with the specific geographical teaching cases to prove the operability of life-based teaching,but also through the analysis of practice to prove that life-based teaching in rural junior high schools have a strong timeliness and popularity.It is hoped that the research of this thesis will realize the effective teaching of life and improve the quality of teaching in the rural junior high school geography.
