Mathematics concept teaching is the foundation and core of mathematics teaching. How to guide students to understand mathematical concepts accurately is an important issue in primary school mathematics teaching.Multivariate representation refers to the use of situations, physical teaching aids, graphic diagrams, speech, symbols, action operations and other descriptive and narrative representations to describe learning objects, providing students with a variety of information presentation methods, and thus promoting students' Understand accurately. In view of the need for in-depth reality in the teaching of mathematical concepts in primary schools, the author thinks that multiple representations can be used as a new perspective in the practice of concept teaching. However, teachers have a problem of one-sided understanding of multiple representations in concept teaching. Therefore,in order to optimize the application of multi-representation in concept teaching and enhance the level and depth of concept teaching, this research is based on theoretical analysis and a questionnaire survey.Based on the analysis and the concept of "double understanding" as an example, the design and implementation of the lesson cases were made, and corresponding strategies were proposed accordingly. The first is the theoretical analysis of the teaching of mathematical concepts in primary schools based on multivariate representations, including both the analysis of theoretical basis and the feasibility of applying multivariate representations in the teaching of mathematical concepts in primary schools. The second is to investigate the current situation of elementary school mathematics concept teaching based on multivariate representation. The investigation is mainly conducted from three aspects of teachers' cognitive situation, application status, and resistance influence, and analyzes the problems existing in current teaching.Thirdly, the design and implementation of elementary school mathematicsconcept teaching based on multivariate representation is based on the thinking of multi-representation-based conceptual instructional design principles, and the teaching concept of "double understanding" is taken as an example. The experimental results were analyzed. The study found that the teaching of elementary mathematics concepts based on multivariate representation can reduce students 'cognitive load to a certain extent, and promote students' understanding and multiple applications of multiple concepts. Finally, some thoughts and suggestions are put forward to optimize the teaching of mathematical concepts based on multivariate representation in elementary school.
