The STEM education philosophy aims to enhance discipline and creativity,integrate existing knowledge across disciplines,and develop an education philosophy of creation,planning,and execution.Since the Chinese academy of education sciences published the white paper on STEM education in China,STEM has been included in science education in China.At the same time,STEM education concept has gradually become the basic concept of instructional design for teachers in the field of education.The integration of STEM education concept into the teaching design ability training of primary school science teachers is conducive to the primary school science teachers to deal with the curriculum drawbacks caused by the separation of subjects in the teaching design,and to guide teachers to have the teaching design ability of curriculum integration consciousness.However,how to improve the teaching design ability of primary school science teachers based on STEM education concept is a serious problem for researchers.The purpose of this study is to improve the teaching design ability of primary school science teachers.Firstly,the literature research method is adopted to analyze the research background,research problems,research significance and research methods of the teaching design of primary school science teachers based on STEM education concept,and the existing problems of the research on the teaching design ability of primary school science teachers are summarized.Secondly,using STME education idea as the fulcrum of STEM,STEM education,teaching design,four concepts in the design of primary school science teaching for interpretation,in on the basis of defining the related concepts,in the form of questionnaire survey,facing the whole country elementary school science teachers to investigate,find out the current primary school science teachers in teaching design problems,such as: traditional teaching design idea,disciplinary boundaries "distinct";The teaching goal design is rigid,the curriculum idea is superficial;The teaching process is designed conservatively and the interest cultivation is forbidden.The teaching method is designed conservatively,and the pattern is fixed.The teaching activity design is superficial,the classroom activity flows in the form;The teaching evaluation design is single,the evaluation content is sameness and so on.The existing problems are summarized.Finally,based on the practical problems in the questionnaire,based on the analysis of the causes,this paper proposes the improvement strategies of teachers' teaching design ability from six dimensions: teaching design concept,teaching objective design,teaching process design,teaching method design,teaching activity design and teaching evaluation design.On the basis of the questionnaire,the author carried on the thorough analysis,the result of the questionnaire and interview and literature review,extract appear this problem of science teachers' teaching design ability in our country,in order to STEM education concepts explored on the basis of the elementary school science teachers design ability promotion strategy,make contributions to the cultivation of the elementary school science teachers' teaching design ability to render their own.
