STEM education originated in the United States and has become one of the hot topics in the field of education in China.STEM education is based on the four courses of science,technology,engineering and mathematics,and integrates with engineering design in series,develops situational learning based the project orientated.In the specific practice of STEM courses,STEM education plays an important role in improving students' interest in science courses,cultivating students' scientific literacy,innovative consciousness and problem-solving ability.In carding STEM curriculum research status at home and abroad,this study carry out the STEM education theory research based on the analysis of STEM curriculum and instructional design model development,exploring and innovating the local junior middle school science curriculum instructional design model.This STEM curriculum practice research integrating STEM into our country junior middle school science curriculum for the first time,following the guidance of junior middle school science curriculum standards,making the STEM and junior middle school science curriculum integration and providing the reference of improving the junior middle school science education instructional design in our country.This study constructed the junior middle school science curriculum instructional design model based on STEM,the model includes five module which are analysis,design,development,implementation and evaluation,and the teaching process focuses on eight link building.According to this model,this study chose the theme of exploring the universe in science curriculum of junior middle school for specific instructional design,demonstrated the instructional design process of science curriculum that integrates STEM education concept.The effectiveness of the STEM instructional design model is validated by the quasi experiment,and the model is optimized.The questionnaires of actual teaching,teachers interview,analysis shows that the junior middle school science curriculum instructional design model based on STEM can help students acquire basic knowledge of science curriculum,and the result is better than that in comparative classes of students,the model can help students to achieve the specific requirements of the scientific curriculum standard,cultivate students' innovative thinking.
