Rumors are the oldest media in the world,and they are the more widely disseminated information in the new media era.College students,as the main force of online media,often come across rumors on the Internet.Internet rumors are confusing and viral,which has a certain effect on the cognition and behavior of college students.As a key indicator of media literacy,the research of rumor discrimination ability of college students,studying the influencing factors of rumor discrimination ability of college students plays a vital role in improving college students' media literacy.Therefore,this article takes college students as the research object and fills in the questionnaire online.A total of 407 valid questionnaires were received from the questionnaire stars.It mainly uses research methods such as literature research method,data analysis method,text analysis method,and systematically expounds the definition and characteristics of rumors,the content of rumors that college students are exposed to more,the ways in which college students are exposed to rumors,and the attitude of rumors.The influential factors of the rumor discrimination ability of college students are mainly studied,and corresponding strategies are put forward based on the research results.This article is divided into six parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly expounds the research background,research significance,research status at home and abroad,research methods,and the definition of rumors and media literacy.Through the introduction of the introduction,the author has initially learned the current development status of rumors and the research status of rumor discrimination ability of college students,which has laid the foundation for the research of this article.The first chapter mainly analyzes the rumors that college students are exposed to more.Based on the statistical results of various research reports,the author understands that college students represented by the post-90 s group are health-conscious groups.They like entertainment and often speak out in hot events.Based on this,this article mainly divides the rumor content that college students are more exposed to into three categories,namely: health and wellness,entertainment andmisreporting.The second chapter mainly introduces the way for college students to contact rumors.This article mainly selects the rumor content that the three types of college students contact more as the research sample,and studies the main ways for college students to contact rumors.The survey results show that college students are mainly exposed to rumors through Weibo,WeChat,news clients or website,offline interpersonal communication and traditional media.In addition,most of the rumors contacted by college students on the Internet,followed by offline interpersonal communication,and traditional media again.The third chapter mainly discusses the attitude of college students after exposure to rumors.The survey results show that the attitudes of college students after exposure to rumors include: ignore them and swipe away;don't think about them quickly.In addition,Chapter Four,as the research focus of this article,analyzes the factors that affect college students' ability to discern rumors.The author collected a total of 407 college students' questionnaires.After induction and sorting,a regression model was established according to the types of variables and data distribution of the rumor discrimination ability of college students.The multiple linear regression method in SPSS was used to analyze the rumor discrimination ability of college students Influencing factors.The results show that there is a significant correlation between the rumor discrimination ability of college students and their academic qualifications,the number of extracurricular readings,whether to join the rumor group,channels for obtaining information,platforms for obtaining information online,and the type of information concerned.Finally,the author summarizes the deficiencies in this research and makes research prospects.The fifth chapter focuses on the influencing factors and the characteristics of different types of rumors,and puts forward measures to improve the rumors discrimination ability of college students.For example,improve scientific literacy,pay attention to news and current affairs,strengthen information exchange,and increase reading volume.
